Melissa Dylan’s father walked out on Bold and the Beautiful, and nobody has named him. We ran the blood ties on 8 men who could be her dad.

TL;DR: Darcy says Dylan’s father walked out when she was little, and nobody has named him. We checked the family trees on the fans’ favorite suspects: eight men could fit, and three are ruled out by blood.
The Father Nobody Will Name
Melissa Dylan’s father is the biggest unanswered question on Bold and the Beautiful, and her mother isn’t helping. Darcy Dylan said on screen that he walked out when her daughter was a little kid, and that she raised her alone on loans. That’s it. No name, no job, no photo.
The clues the show has planted are delicious. On August 27, Darcy scolded her by phone as “Melissa Nicole Dylan.” Darcy flew in from Louisville, Kentucky, and has mentioned years in Wisconsin, home of Genoa City. Even Kelly Sullivan, who plays Darcy, admitted she doesn’t know who he is. One rule shapes this whole list. Melissa “Miss” Dylan is dating Will Spencer, and she kissed RJ Forrester in June. Any father who makes her their blood relative is a very hard sell.

1. Deacon Sharpe
The only suspect Darcy has actually flirted with. She called Deacon Sharpe a “tall drink of water” the day she hit town, and he is Dylan’s boss at the Bikini Bar. His lost years give him a past Darcy could have wandered into. Blood check: clean. Dylan would be Hope Logan Spencer‘s half-sister, with no tie to Will or RJ.
2. Eric Forrester
The fans’ loudest pick. Eric Forrester shares no blood with RJ, because Ridge’s biological father is Massimo, not Eric. The catch is a big one. Eric had a vasectomy in 1994, while he was married to Sheila, so the writers would have to undo it.
3. Thorne Forrester
Thorne Forrester lost his only child, Aly, in 2015, and fans swear Dylan has her look. The problem is Stephanie. Thorne and Ridge share her as their mother, which would make Dylan and RJ cousins.
4. Nick Marone
Nicole, as in Nick? Nick Marone was in Los Angeles through the right years. But he is Ridge’s paternal half-brother, so Dylan and RJ would be cousins here too.
Who Is Dylan’s Father on Bold and the Beautiful?
Nobody knows who Melissa Dylan’s father is yet. The show hasn’t named him, and our read of the family trees says the smart money is on a man who shares no blood with Will or RJ. Four more names fit that rule.
5. John Forrester Jr.
He is Electra Forrester‘s father, and he has never been seen on screen. Make him the dad, and Melissa Dylan becomes the half-sister of the woman whose ex she is dating. No blood tie to Will or RJ. That one would burn down the whole block.
6. Jack Finnegan
This is our own dark horse. Jack Finnegan already fathered one secret child, John ‘Finn’ Finnegan, with Sheila. If he is Dylan’s father, Finn is her half-brother, and Luna was her niece. Dylan was driving the car that killed Luna.
7. Nick Newman
The crossover dream. Wisconsin, a middle name like Nicole, and a Darcy played by the actress who was Sage, the wife of Nick Newman on The Young and the Restless. Joshua Morrow, who plays Nick, is the real-life dad of Crew Morrow, who plays Will. No crossover like this has ever been announced, so file it under wishful thinking.
8. Rocco Carner
Rocco Carner was the first love of Katie Logan Spencer. He gave her a ring back in the late 1980s, then broke it off. Picture Katie learning that the girl she calls “not Spencer material” is his daughter.
Three Men Blood Ties Rule Out
Scratch Bill Spencer, because Dylan would be Will’s half-sister. Scratch Ridge Forrester, because she would be RJ’s half-sister. And scratch the late Storm Logan, Katie’s brother, who would make her a first cousin to both boys. Even our own hunch from September, when Sullivan’s Wyatt tease had us rushing to order a DNA test for Wyatt, hits the same wall. Wyatt is Will’s half-brother.
If I know these writers, Melissa Dylan’s father is a man who can hurt Katie. My gut says Deacon.

Darcy didn’t flirt with Deacon by accident. Soaps plant a spark like that for a reason, and a daughter who works for him while Darcy bats her eyes across the bar is too good to waste. Eric and Thorne make better family trees, but Deacon makes better television.
