Hope and Katie Finally Put Everything on the Table
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers October 2 put Logan’s two power players in one room while their target dodges Hope. On Friday, Hope Logan Spencer and her aunt, Katie Logan Spencer, lay everything on the table. Every move they have made this week points at one man: Zende Forrester Dominguez, the Forrester designer Katie wants at Logan.
Zende is not hiding his frustration. On Wednesday he told Ridge Forrester that working on Electra’s new line feels like a demotion. He said he is back to square one, taking orders from Ridge’s son, RJ Forrester, as our recap of Zende’s demotion complaint laid out. Two days earlier he blew up at Ridge: “You killed the line that I love!” The rest of the week is waiting in our two-week Bold and the Beautiful spoiler guide.
Katie has been working the angle since Monday, when she told Melissa “Miss” Dylan that getting Zende to Logan was her first step toward acceptance. “I want Zende Forrester right here at Logan,” Katie declared. On Wednesday she cornered Dylan in an outdoor shower with two words: “Try harder.” At Logan, Hope admitted Deke is working as fast as he can, but “He needs Zende.”

Zende Got Left Holding Hope’s Line
When Hope Logan Spencer walked out of Forrester, she left Zende holding her line, and no Logan paycheck erases that. Ridge and Steffy Forrester Finnegan made him sole lead designer of Hope for the Future on June 24, two days before Hope was unmasked on the runway as Logan’s secret designer. A week later, Forrester shut the line down.
Zende has not forgotten. Hope has spent days blowing up Zende’s phone, and on Tuesday, with Dylan pushing, he finally answered that he does not want to talk. He also admitted to Dylan that he is still upset Hope left him high and dry, as our recap of Zende’s reply to Hope showed. If he is waiting on anything from her, it is two little words: I’m sorry.
Why Did Hope Leave Forrester Creations on Bold and the Beautiful?
Hope felt pushed aside. Steffy put Hope for the Future on hold in April to focus on couture, and by late May Hope was telling her mother, Brooke Logan, that she was stepping away. By June she was secretly designing for Logan. In their July 3 showdown, Hope told Brooke she needed somewhere she felt valued and respected, and accused her mother of siding with Ridge.
Reading between the lines, Hope Logan Spencer doesn’t have to sell Zende on that story. He already told it to Ridge’s face on Monday, when he said Hope leaving was Ridge’s fault, not Katie’s. If Hope tells him Friday that Steffy and Ridge made it impossible to stay, she is preaching to the choir. The best pitch Logan has, Zende already made for them.
Ridge Approved RJ’s Line and Left Zende Out
RJ pitched the youth line built around Electra, Ridge approved it, and Zende wasn’t even invited to the August meeting. On Monday Zende fumed that newcomers RJ and Electra were handed a line while he takes orders from them. When Brooke insisted on Wednesday that her son is in sync with Electra, Zende shot back, “The way I was in sync with Hope.”
Ridge’s answer so far is to remind Zende he is family. Katie’s answer is better. On Tuesday she told Dylan that Zende would be happy at Logan, where they would celebrate him and his talent. Don’t be surprised if any Logan pitch to Zende comes with a title that sounds a lot like the one Forrester took away.
Katie’s own sister stands in the way. Back in June, Katie promised Brooke she would stop recruiting Forrester employees. Hope slipped through because nobody named her. Zende has no loophole, so landing him breaks Katie’s word, and on Wednesday Ridge vowed that Katie will never undermine Forrester again.
Will Warns Dylan About His Mother’s Demands
Thursday, Will Spencer cautions his girlfriend about Katie’s demands. Dylan has the most to lose. She works at Forrester, and Katie has tied her future with Will to whether she can deliver Zende.
My gut says Hope Logan Spencer is the only one who can close this deal, and not with Logan’s money. Zende needs an apology before he needs a contract. If Hope gives him one Friday, Forrester could lose another designer to Logan just over three months after losing her.

Zende Deserves an Apology Before He Gets an Offer
Katie treats Zende like a chess piece, and Hope treats him like a missed call. Neither one has looked him in the eye and owned what Hope’s exit cost him. Ridge is no better, calling him family while Zende takes orders from his son.
