THIS YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS RECAP ROASTS BILLY ABBOTT

TL;DR: This Young and the Restless Recap catches Billy Abbott’s bachelor party turning into a full-blown roast courtesy of Kyle Abbott, Jack Abbott, Michael Baldwin, and Cane Ashby, Sally Spectra’s bachelorette collecting heirlooms and a surprise twinge, Chelsea Lawson and Audra Charles botching the dessert in perfect harmony, Lily Winters sharing a terrifying worry with Traci Abbott, and Victoria Newman texting Kyle right under everyone’s nose.

Billy Abbott Gets Roasted Alive

Billy Abbott strolled into his own bachelor party expecting a few drinks and a sentimental speech, and this Young and the Restless Recap can confirm he got a firing squad with a bar cart instead. Kyle Abbott and Jack Abbott were still digesting a message from Diane Jenkins, who was nursing herself in bed, when Michael Baldwin and Cane Ashbyswaggered in with prepared remarks. Applause and back pats greeted the guest of honor, Jack poured, and Billy asked what the entertainment would be. Kyle informed him that the entertainment was Billy.

Michael opened the abuse by skewering the groom for skipping a prenup, then moved on to the Jamaican wedding and the wardrobe before concluding that all the sympathy in the room belonged to Sally for what she was signing up for. Cane followed with a toast about how he and Billy brawled like genuine relatives, how Cane usually won, and how both men were still chasing Jill Abbott’s respect. He also tallied the room’s marital history, which amounted to a pile of former spouses per man, and confessed he knew Billy had invited him for lack of other friends. Kyle closed round one by accusing his uncle of swapping careers the way normal people swap socks, with a bonus beating for the podcast.

After the intermission, Jack’s turn arrived with a Jaboat tale, a reminder that everyone present cared, and a prediction that Billy would make a wonderful husband and father, the kind their dad would have been proud of. The hugging and applause nearly covered up the fact that the groom had been fed to the wolves for an hour. Billy took it like a champ, conceding that most of the charges stood, with one exception: his podcast was excellent, thank you very much. Kyle promised an encore, and Billy, glowing over his bride and the baby, declared himself as happy as a man could be, a high bar for someone who had been called a serial sock changer.

Sally’s Bachelorette Beats the Odds

At Society, Traci Abbott, Chelsea Lawson, Abby Newman, and Audra Charles greeted Sally Spectra with cheers and a mocktail, and Sally promptly counted the room and wondered whether five people made a party. Chelsea confessed the cancellations had snowballed so badly that she and Audra resorted to pulling guests in from the sidewalk. Claire Newman, Victoria Newman, and Lily Winters wandered in next, and Sally graciously declared that friendships could be forged at any hour, even with the groom’s exes. Everyone toasted her, and Sally praised her hosts for a job well done, which was generous from a woman whose party was half staffed by passersby.

Then Coco Spectra appeared with a baby bump, and Sally lit up like a marquee. The gifts followed, and tradition took a Spectra detour. Coco handed over a pair of enormous earrings that once belonged to their great-aunt, a loud and proud entry for something old. Audra offered her grandmother’s rosary to cover the borrowed slot, which was news to Sally, who had never pictured Audra with a grandmother. Chelsea saved something blue for last, a brooch from Jill with a pedigree, plus her certainty that its former owner would have adored the bride. Sally teared up, overwhelmed by more affection than the Spectra sisters had ever known, and finally felt at home.

Elsewhere at the table, the Newmans fretted about Nick Newman in rehab and hoped he would stay sober. Then Esther Valentine turned up with a friend who danced for a living, and Sally gently explained that nobody needed to shake anything. Her relief lasted about as long as a pastry. Moments later she nearly doubled over, bracing for what felt very much like labor.

Chelsea and Audra Forget Dessert

Chelsea and Audra, two women who disagree about the weather, discovered they had both neglected the cake, and the blame game sent them tearing into a corner while Sally trailed after them to keep the peace. Round two erupted until Abby stepped in and herded them away. They returned with pastries mailed from Paris, then admitted the cake may have sat on each other’s list, and decided the evening was a triumph anyway. Abby cranked the music, and the whole room danced. Nobody in this scene deserved a trophy, and everybody got one.

Lily Winters Gets a Terrifying Text

At a quieter table, Traci took one look at Lily, who swore everything was fine, and recognized a woman in need of a confidante. Lily finally confessed that her cancer might have returned. Traci was stunned that Cane had been kept in the dark and was convinced he would rise to the occasion. Irony arrived on schedule: back at the estate, Cane had told the boys he would marry Lily again tomorrow, a sentiment that carried extra weight given what she was holding back.

Later, with the party in full swing, Lily’s phone buzzed with word that her results were in. She bolted for the door, and Traci followed to make sure she was all right. Whatever those results say, it was a lonely walk, and nobody can accuse the writers of letting Lily have a quiet evening.

Victoria and Kyle Text Through Everything

Kyle spent his uncle’s roast with one eye on his phone, and the break gave him the perfect escape. While Michael and Billy rehashed the history with Victoria, Kyle slipped away to text her, which means he was messaging his ex’s mother from a party for the man she once shared a daughter with. Bold doesn’t cover it.

Over at Society, Victoria was thumbing replies to Kyle until Claire and Traci wandered over, and she quickly hijacked the conversation to quiz her daughter about her love life. Nothing says innocent evening like an adult leaning toward a phone and away from every question.
