Her Husband Thinks This Subject Is Closed
Finn made himself clear before he left: he is against the surrogacy, and he walked out the door believing the subject was dead. Steffy Forrester let him believe it. Then Carter Walton leaned on her until the procedure happened, and the man who said no still doesn’t know.
Steffy has looked like a woman awaiting sentencing ever since. She told Carter she can’t hide this much longer, warned him it could destroy her marriage, and admitted the lie might destroy everything anyway. When she tried to confess to Daphne Rose, Carter tried to stop her, and Daphne finished the job by assuming the secret was a harmless way to ease her nerves. Steffy sobbed in the office while Daphne thanked her, and when Taylor Hayes stopped by, her daughter looked exhausted.
Carter’s strategy is to bet that the doctor will understand. It is a bold wager from a man who has already admitted things would be worse if Steffy’s husband ever learned about their night together.

Coming Home Is Going To Sting More Than Leaving Did
The preview puts Finn back in the cliff house, asking Steffy what he missed while she tries to hide that she keeps holding her belly. He tells his obviously distraught wife she can share anything with him, and that gentleness is exactly what will make the confession feel like a slap. He asked for one thing. He got a wife who did it anyway, while Carter and Daphne heard the good news first.
Brooke Logan and Ridge Forrester are even telling each other that Steffy and her husband have been there for Carter and Daphne, so the family likely assumes he is on board with the plan.
He has forgiven plenty. He forgave Steffy for sleeping with Liam Spencer, and he was shot trying to protect her. Those were things that happened around the marriage. This one Steffy chose, after he said no.
A Divorce Threat Is The Only Word Big Enough
Will it sting badly enough for him to threaten divorce? Picture a husband hearing that his wife went ahead without him, that Carter and Daphne were in on it, and that nobody thought to pick up a phone. A man hurt like that does not reach for small words. An ultimatum would land hard because Steffy has already said out loud that this could cost her the marriage.
The version he hears first is only the top layer. Underneath it sits the night with Carter, and Carter keeps insisting that the truth would destroy their lives and the lives of the children. Steffy is stuck between two disasters, and the second one is the one that decides whether anyone gets forgiven.
Steffy Has Been One Sentence From Confessing All Along
She has already told Daphne that what she and Carter did was wrong and that Daphne deserves the truth, and she got as far as “if you only knew” before being cut off. Steffy has been bending since the day she said yes. A divorce threat might be the final push that breaks her open.
If Finn says the word, she is choosing between a secret that keeps costing her more and a truth that might finally cost her everything. Carter would be left standing in the wreckage with a match in his hand and no plan.
