Bold and the Beautiful Recap October 13: Zende Forrester Dominguez Walks Out on Forrester With Dylan
Bold and the Beautiful recap October 13: Zende Forrester Dominguez quits Forrester after Ridge refuses to keep Dylan, and walks out with her.
ZENDE FORRESTER DOMINGUEZ QUITS FORRESTER AND TAKES DYLAN WITH HIM
TL;DR: Ridge refused to take Dylan back, so Zende Forrester Dominguez told the Forresters, “If Dylan goes, I go,” and walked out of Forrester with her. Eric begged him at the elevator, and Zende hugged him goodbye.

Zende Calls In Eric’s Promise
The Bold and the Beautiful recap October 13 is the day the family’s quietest designer stopped asking nicely. Zende Forrester Dominguez quit Forrester Creations for the second time in three episodes, and this time he held the door for the woman who had just been fired. It started right where Monday left off, with Ridge Forrester repeating that Dylan was finished for nudging Zende to hear out Hope and Katie: “It’s unforgivable!”
Zende had one card left, and he played it. He reminded Eric Forrester that his grandfather had promised what his grandson wants, he gets. “And I say Dylan stays!” When RJ Forrester chimed in that she was out of there anyway, Zende asked Eric point blank who makes the decisions around here, and whether he has any say at Forrester at all.
A day earlier, Eric had begged him to stay and sworn his decisions would be followed. Zende believed him, turned Logan down on speakerphone, and then watched Ridge fire Dylan on Monday right in front of him. Our Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for the next two weeks had an ultimatum coming, and it landed like a dropped mannequin.

If Dylan Goes, Zende Goes
Electra Forrester could not resist explaining what Melissa “Miss” Dylan had been up to, instead of letting her speak for herself. Zende said no lines were crossed. Then it sank in that what he wanted did not matter, and he sighed in Ridge’s direction: “There it is, once again siding with your son. If Dylan goes, I go.”
Ridge did not blink, so Zende hit the roof that his very first request since Eric’s big promise was being denied, and he tied it straight to Hope’s line getting shoved to the back burner. “I can’t work under these conditions. This is RJ and Electra’s domain. My last name doesn’t matter,” he said. He thanked Eric and Ridge for being his mentors, held the door for Dylan, and left every Forrester in the room looking like nobody had ever told them no.

Why Did Zende Quit Forrester on Bold and the Beautiful?
Because Ridge refused to keep Dylan, and because, in his own words, “This has been building for a long time.” In the design office, Dylan thanked Zende for standing up for her but said she did not want him leaving because of her. He insisted it was not about her. It was the favoritism, the nepotism and, as he put it, the BS.
Here is what makes it sting. On Friday, Zende gave his notice and told Ridge and Eric he still felt like an outsider. On Monday, Eric talked him into staying with a promise that his voice would finally count. On Tuesday, he used that voice exactly once, for Dylan, and lost. Zende Forrester Dominguez was adopted into this family back in 2001, and the line that should haunt the Forresters is the one he left them with: his last name doesn’t matter.
Eric’s Goodbye at the Elevator
Back in the main office, Electra gloated that she tried to warn everybody. Eric was upset about losing his grandson, but Ridge waved it off. To him, this is all about Katie poaching again.
Eric was not ready to let go. He caught Zende and Dylan at the elevator and pleaded, “We need you here. I need that. You’re the next generation of Forrester.”
Zende Forrester Dominguez would not be swayed. “This doesn’t feel like the place for me anymore,” he said, hugging his grandfather. “I’m gonna miss you, Granddad.” Eric told him he loves him, and Zende tearfully said it back. Somebody put Delon de Metz on the Emmy reel right now.

Logan Has No Idea What Just Happened
Over at Logan, Hope Logan Spencer, Katie Logan Spencer, Deke Sharpe and Will Spencer spent the whole episode chewing over why Zende stayed put. Katie insisted it was not a setback, just a change of plans. Deke admitted he is mentally exhausted after one collection, though he swore he would power through.
Katie kept hammering Eric and Ridge’s history of breaking promises to Zende. “I wish he was able to stand up for himself and walk out like we did,” she said, with no clue he just had. Hope closed the day wishing Zende could feel the vibe at Logan, and on Wednesday the Logan team gets some unexpected news. My gut says that news is Zende Forrester Dominguez himself, right as Dylan, now out of work, gets Will’s big declaration.

Eric’s Promise to Zende Lasted One Day
Eric swore Zende’s word would count, and Ridge broke the promise in one day. Forrester lost a designer Logan has chased for weeks, plus the woman who got him to pick up the phone.
My gut says Katie’s phone rings by Wednesday and Dylan is part of the package. Was Zende right to walk, or did he just hand Logan the win? Tell us over on our Facebook page.
QUICK ANSWERS
Did Zende join Logan on Bold and the Beautiful? Not on screen yet. On October 13, Zende quit Forrester after Ridge refused to keep Dylan and walked out with her, but he has not accepted Katie’s offer. Hope still needs a designer for her next line, and the Logan team gets unexpected news on Wednesday.
Did Dylan get her job back at Forrester? No. Ridge fired Dylan on October 12 and refused to take her back on October 13, calling what she did unforgivable. Zende demanded she stay, and when Ridge would not budge, Zende quit and the two of them left Forrester together.
