DAYTIME COMINGS AND GOINGS BRING A WICKED RETURN, A PAINFUL EXIT, AND A BOLD NEW DEBUT
TL;DR: This week’s Comings and Goings are stacked. A primetime heavyweight makes his daytime debut on Young and the Restless, a fan-favorite villainess slinks back into town on Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital welcomes a legacy face while losing two others, Days of Our Lives says farewell to one of Salem’s own, and Beyond the Gates brings on a soap vet with a deliciously wicked nickname.
An Old Flame Lights the Fuse in L.A.
Lock the doors and hide the husbands, because Sheila Carter is back. Kimberlin Brown returns to Bold and the Beautiful this week, and her reappearance in L.A. on Wednesday, June 17, is the kind of thing that ruins appetites. Deacon Sharpe and Taylor Hayes are the first to feel the ground shift, and given how their last chapter played out, watching Sheila waltz back into frame should make every fan sit up a little straighter.
She is not the only one resurfacing. A trio of Forrester models struts back onto the runway on Tuesday, June 16, with Shannon McMullen returning as Willow, Olga Zhukova back as Brittany, and Kayla Ehle reappearing as Michael. A full bench of beautiful faces never hurt a Forrester production, and the timing hints the design house has something splashy on the horizon.

A Legacy Name Comes Home While Port Charles Says Two Goodbyes
Port Charles is doing a little reshuffling. Serena Baldwin is heading home, with daytime favorite Kelly Kruger stepping into the role of Scott Baldwin‘s daughter. Last seen on the canvas years ago, Serena’s return plants another legacy seed in a town that runs on them, and her debut is set for next month.
There is also a mysterious new player on the way. Troy Lennon Appel debuts on July 30 as Hudson, a slick business executive whose arrival promises the kind of boardroom danger General Hospital does so well.
The goodbyes sting, though. Kirsten Storms appears to be stepping away again as Maxie Jones, citing personal priorities and family. And Kate Mansi made her final appearance as Kristina Corinthos-Davis, whose character has headed off to Los Angeles for medical school. Two exits in one week is a lot for any fan base to absorb.
A Tearful Farewell Hits Salem Hard
Grab the tissues. Elia Cantu is exiting Days of Our Lives as Jada Hunter, closing the book on a character she has played since 2022. It is a bittersweet farewell, and Salem will feel the absence.
The comings soften the blow. Louis Tomeo reappears as Aaron Greene, Cat Greene‘s brother, enjoying some summer fun at the Horton cabin with Tate Black, Holly Jonas, and Arianna Horton on Tuesday, June 16, and Friday, June 19. Jonah Robinson pops in as another Greene sibling, Dr. Mark Greene, sharing scenes with Cat this week. Richard Wharton is back as the one and only Wilhelm Rolf, doling out advice to EJ DiMera on Thursday, June 18. And Sal Stowers and Lamon Archey return as Lani Price and Eli Grant, joining Salem’s Juneteenth celebration on Friday, June 19.
A Dangerous Stranger Lands in Genoa City
Genoa City is getting a serious upgrade. Jere Burns makes his daytime debut on The Young and the Restless as Dr. Laurence Markham, beginning Monday, June 15. After decades anchoring primetime ensembles, Burns is stepping onto a soap canvas for the very first time, and he is doing it at the peak of the Diane Jenkins mystery. The casting reunites him with Susan Walters, his co-star from a beloved late-eighties sitcom, the kind of full-circle bonus that makes longtime viewers swoon.
Melissa Ordway also returns as Abby Newman this week, working opposite Patty Williams and Jack Abbott on Friday, June 19. With Patty in the mix, nothing is ever as calm as it looks.
A Wicked Newcomer Strolls Into Fairmont Crest
Fairmont Crest is bringing in a heavy hitter. Soap veteran Ashley Jones joins Beyond the Gates as Heather Armstrong, also known as The Impaler, the sister of Joey Armstrong. A nickname like that does not arrive quietly, and Jones brings a long résumé of daytime mischief to the role.
