The Pregnancy Theory Fits Her Calendar Too Well

Dani Dupree has spent two weeks behaving like a woman who has never met a consequence, which is exactly why the fan theory floating around Fairmont Crest works: she’s pregnant, she has no clue, and she couldn’t name the father if you handed her a lineup. Count the symptoms if you squint with enthusiasm. She sobbed into a tissue box and flapped her arms at Nicole Dupree Richardson, she was tired enough that her whole family discussed it, and she treated a break-in at her ex’s house, with a gun waved in her face, as a perfectly reasonable evening out.

Two men fit her calendar, and that’s the real problem. Her husband, Andre Richardson, got a kiss in a hospital hallway and a promise that they could “finish up later tonight.” Her ex, Bill Hamilton, got a boxed-up office, a speech about how wonderful he is, and a hug, after which she drifted into a memory of an elevator that had nothing to do with floors.

She keeps announcing she’s done with Bill, then marches into his office anyway. The latest hug lasted exactly long enough for her to leap backward and announce she had to get back to her husband, which is what a woman says when she suddenly has something to be nervous about.

Andre Is The Husband On A Very Short Fuse

Hand Dani Dupree a positive test and Andre does not get a cigar, he gets a calculator and a long, quiet look at the calendar. He has already told his uncle he doesn’t know how much longer he can play the “understanding husband,” and he spent one evening fuming that she keeps disrespecting their marriage. This is also the wife who lied to him about a girls’ night before she confessed where she’d really been.

Andre could have his sweet nursery scene, and Fairmont Crest will never allow it. He wishes she’d talk to him before she acts, so he’ll be thrilled to hear the biggest thing she has ever kept quiet.

Bill Is Never The Right Answer, Which Makes Him Likeliest

Bill Hamilton is the man Anita Dupree told, in so many words, to leave her daughter alone and rebuild his life on his own. He went right on hugging her. He also still thinks he’s The Fixer, and he has never met a mess he couldn’t make worse by getting clever.

Whatever Dani Dupree decides to tell him, he’ll take it with a smug smile that vanishes the second the room goes quiet. Then there’s Chelsea Hamilton, who spent two weeks begging her father to stop being his wife’s patsy and would now be asked to welcome a baby sibling made in the middle of that mess. Somebody needs to draw this family tree on a napkin.

Hayley Lawson Would Never Let Dani Have The Spotlight Alone

Hayley Lawson already faked one pregnancy, complete with a phony ultrasound, so a real one would be the cosmic joke of the decade. Picture her marching across town waving a positive test while every person who ever believed her demands a second doctor, a third doctor and a notarized affidavit.

The clues are right there for anyone with a sense of humor. She spent a hotel stay eating chocolate, groaning and screaming into a pillow while Leslie Thomas ordered cheeseburgers, then pushed past that same Leslie desperate for a drink after an afternoon tied to a chair with a buzz saw running. Hayley needs leverage to collect her payoff, and a baby is leverage with a bow on it. Bill’s divorce papers aren’t finished, and nobody in town would assume a pregnant Hayley had anyone’s name in mind but his.

Now put her at the club beside Dani Dupree with a matching bump, matching glares and matching cravings, and you have the picture fans will screenshot for years.
