Hayley’s Murder Plan Is Taking Forever

Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) has been chatting up her cousin Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry) about their little scheme for WEEKS now, and honestly? We’re starting to wonder if she even wants to go through with it anymore.

Hayley claims this isn’t her first rodeo when it comes to duping a man for his money. Okay, girl. Then what is taking so freaking long with this one? If she were actually good at this whole black widow thing, her husband Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) wouldn’t still be breathing, let alone sneaking off to reconnect with his ex-wife Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley).

Dani nick-named her “Fayley Hayley” and honestly? The shoe fits. Because Hayley Lawson is failing at this murder plot spectacularly.

The Writing Is on Every Single Wall

Here’s what we think is really happening on Beyond the Gates. Hayley Lawson didn’t MEAN to fall in love with Bill Hamilton. But she did. And now she’s stuck between her feelings and her promise to pay out her idiot cousin after Bill’s life insurance kicks in.

She keeps feeding Bill that tea. Bill keeps visiting Dani. Bill hasn’t given any hints about wanting to leave Hayley. And Dani is busy playing house with Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman), her new husband with the endless abs and passion to match.

Sure, Bill and Dani shared a quick passionate kiss recently, but Dani’s going through a lot right now with her cancer scare. Only Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) knows about that kiss, and Bill sealed that secret with a promotion to junior partner at his firm.

Hayley’s Jealousy Is Showing

If Hayley Lawson truly wanted Bill dead and nothing more, why would she care AT ALL about his relationship with Dani? She’d just poison him faster and collect her check. Instead, she’s getting visibly jealous every time Dani’s name comes up. She’s monitoring his phone. She’s asking questions about where he’s been.

That’s not the behavior of a cold-blooded killer. That’s the behavior of a woman who caught feelings for her mark and doesn’t know what to do about it.

Randy keeps pushing for the payout, but we’re starting to think Hayley might not be able to go through with it. She’s in too deep emotionally, and Bill Hamilton has no idea his wife is fighting a war between her heart and her bank account.
