Days Of Our Lives
Alex Kiriakis Goes Full-On Macho to Protect Stephanie on DAYS. Except He’s Targeting the Wrong Guy!
Alex Kiriakis confronts Jeremy Horton on Monday’s Days of Our Lives while the real stalker Owen Kent listens through a bugged frame.

ALEX KIRIAKIS IS TOO BUSY PICKING FIGHTS TO NOTICE THE REAL STALKER IS LISTENING TO EVERY WORD
TL;DR: Alex Kiriakis has a heated confrontation with Jeremy Horton on Monday’s Days of Our Lives while the real stalker, Owen Kent, listens to every plan through a bugged picture frame. Jada helps Stephanie set the elopement trap, but it’s already doomed.
Alex Kiriakis Would Rather Throw Hands Than Use His Brain
On Monday, it’s revealed that Alex Kiriakis and Jeremy Horton will have a heated confrontation, and honestly, someone needs to sit Alex down and explain how evidence works. Jeremy has been the convenient punching bag in this stalker storyline for months, and Alex Kiriakis is STILL convinced Jeremy is behind everything, even though he has zero actual proof.
Here’s what makes this so infuriating. While Alex is busy getting into it with Jeremy, the REAL stalker — Owen Kent — is sitting somewhere cozy listening to every single word through the bugged picture frame he planted in Stephanie and Alex’s apartment. The one that everyone thought was an engagement gift from EJ DiMera. The one that Steve Johnson, who is protecting his daughter to the point where it wouldn’t surprise us to to have him sleeping with Stephanie and Alex in their BED, opened and said “Oh how nice”!. Why didn’t anyone question why EJ DiMera would send a rather lackluster frame – even as he was out of town?
Owen has heard every trap, every plan, and every strategy session between Steve, Jada Hunter, Alex, and Stephanie Johnson. The man has been two steps ahead this entire time because our heroes basically handed him a front-row seat to their investigation.

Jeremy Horton Is the Most Framed Man in Salem
Can we talk about how badly Jeremy has been set up? The man arrived in Salem to substitute teach at an elementary school. He brought Stephanie flowers to apologize for their past, she threw them in the trash, and he became Salem’s Most Wanted.
Yes, Jeremy and Stephanie have a troubled history. Their relationship back in 2007 was toxic. But these days, Jeremy has spent his time in Salem playing Scrabble with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), advising Rachel at Bayview, and generally being the least threatening person on the show. He was at the Salem PD all night on the evening the bugged picture frame showed up at Stephanie’s door.
Does Alex Kiriakis care about alibis or logic? Absolutely not. Alex would rather storm up to Jeremy and throw accusations than consider the possibility that Owen Kent, the guy who kidnapped Stephanie years ago and escaped from a prison transport, might be the one who came back for round two.
Owen once snatched Stephanie during the Kiriakis-DiMera feud, escaped custody, and vanished. Now Stephanie’s steamy novel One Stormy Night has drawn him out of whatever rock he was hiding under.Instead of looking at the actual threat, Alex is wasting everyone’s time going after Jeremy.
The Elopement Trap Is Already Dead on Arrival
Also on Monday, Jada agrees to help Stephanie Johnson with the stalker situation. The team has been cooking up an elaborate plan involving a fake elopement announcement designed to lure the stalker into making a move. Stephanie went public with the news. Alex went to the courthouse for a marriage license. Steve and Jada are ready to pounce on whoever takes the bait.
The problem? Owen heard the entire plan through that bugged frame. Every detail. Every contingency. The stalker knows it’s a trap, which means HE is the one in control.
Thursday’s spoilers hint that Stephanie and Jada surprise Alex, possibly with a real twist on the elopement plan. But the bigger concern is that Stephanie is going to end up kidnapped because the people protecting her are ddistracted. Alex is focused on Jeremy. Steve is focused on the decoy operation. And Owen is focused on Stephanie.
Someone Please Take the Blinders Off This Man
Alex Kiriakis has all the tools to actually solve this. He has Steve, a former ISA agent. He has Jada, a real police detective. He has a fiancée who has literally told him about Owen kidnapping her in the past. And yet Alex keeps defaulting to “it must be Jeremy” because that requires the least amount of critical thinking.
ALEX! You’re smarter than this!!
The Days‘ writers are clearly building toward Stephanie’s kidnapping, and when it happens, Alex will have nobody to blame but himself. While he was busy confronting an innocent man on Monday, the real danger was listening through the walls of his own living room.
