Brandon Barash is about to be outnumbered. The former Days of Our Lives star and his wife Isabella announced on March 5 that they are expecting their third child, and the gender reveal confirmed it is a boy. Baby Barash number three is due in June, and the family is already celebrating from their home in Tennessee.
Barash shared the news on Instagram with a carousel of photos that included the gender reveal moment, complete with blue balloons and confetti flying everywhere as the family reacted with pure joy. His caption opened with a nod to The Beatles, writing that he heard the news today, oh boy. He added that family pictures are about to look a little different and that there is a lot more love to go around. He signed off by thanking Tennessee for keeping the blessings coming.

The new baby boy will join big brother Joaquin Lee Barash, who was born on September 15, 2023, and big sister Harper Rose Barash, who is eleven years old. Harper is the daughter Barash shares with his ex-wife, General Hospital star Kirsten Storms, who plays Maxie on the ABC soap. Barash and Storms married in 2013 after meeting on the GH set where he played the fan-favorite mobster Johnny Zacchara from 2007 to 2016. They split in 2016, and Harper has remained close with both parents.
Barash met Isabella when she was working as a teacher at Harper’s school, and in a detail that soap fans cannot help but love, it was Harper herself who played matchmaker between her dad and her future stepmom. The couple got engaged in December 2021 and married on December 17, 2022, in a Great Gatsby-inspired ceremony at North Ranch Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. Harper served as both flower girl and junior bridesmaid.
Days of Our Lives fans know Barash best for his dual roles as Stefan DiMera and Stefan’s twin brother Jake DiMera, which he played from 2019 until his departure in 2024. Stefan’s exit was tied to a Vivian Alamain storyline, and fans continue to speculate that the character could resurface given Dr. Rolf’s ongoing resurrection experiments in Salem. Off screen, Barash relocated the family to Nashville in 2025 and is also a member of The Day Players Band, a band made up of fellow soap opera actors.
The Instagram announcement was flooded with congratulations from the daytime community, including Galen Gering, Carson Boatman, Eric Martsolf, Jason Thompson, and Brandon Beemer among many others.
