Marlena is helping EJ DiMera recover his coma memories, Dimitri already knows she is ISA, and Cat herself planned the will reading where the whole house of cards is about to come down.

Cat Greene Is Standing on Borrowed Time

Cat Greene has burned through more lives than the average Salem resident gets to ask for. Clyde Weston ran her off the road and killed her father. The ISA paid for facial reconstruction at an Italian clinic where she recovered alongside EJ DiMera and read Wuthering Heights to him while he was in a coma. She came back to Salem, infiltrated his hospital, drugged him at the DiMera mansion, planned his father’s will reading, and looked Theo Carver directly in the eye when he asked why she was going above and beyond and said EJ had been very good to her.

That is not the answer of a woman doing her job.

On Days of Our Lives, Cat’s nine lives are about to start running out. EJ is spiraling. The man who lost Belle, Johnny, and his father in rapid succession is no longer in control of anything around him. A man with nothing left to lose is the most dangerous version of EJ the show has ever produced.

The Memory That Could Detonate Everything

Here is where it gets dangerous. Marlena Evans is about to help EJ recover memories from his coma. Marlena, professionally trained, who knows Cat was her assistant before she became EJ’s, and knows Cat’s medical history at the same Italian clinic. Marlena is going to walk EJ back through that clinic in his mind. And if EJ remembers a woman reading Wuthering Heights at his bedside, the entire ISA operation collapses in real time.

Cat does not know this is coming. She is currently planning a will reading and looking longingly across rooms at Chad DiMera while EJ slowly puts together the fact that he has heard her voice somewhere before. Wuthering Heights is on his desk. She told him she is reading it. Marlena is about to hand him the missing piece.

The Dinners Are Not Just Dinners

Theo asked Cat why she was working so hard for EJ. She said EJ had been very good to her. That was not the answer of an ISA operative protecting cover. That was the answer of a woman genuinely conflicted about the man she is supposed to be bringing down.

She has been having private dinners with EJ. He paid to take her on a date at a hospital fundraiser. He gave her brother Mark a job. She is supposed to be reporting to Rafe Hernandez and watching every move EJ makes. She is also developing feelings she cannot afford to develop.

If she is falling for him, her cover is already cracking from the inside. If she is not, the dinners are reconnaissance and EJ is going to figure out exactly what she is. The math does not work either way.

The Truly Diabolical Part

Dimitri Von Leuschner already knows Cat is ISA. He figured it out weeks ago and has been sitting on it like a man holding a winning lottery ticket. The will reading on Friday is the perfect venue to play that card. Cat planned it. EJ is presiding over it. Theo is reading the letter. Marlena is in attendance. And Dimitri, who answers to nobody and protects only himself, is sitting in the back with the one secret that ends her mission.

He could trade it for leverage. He could whisper it to EJ. He could announce it just to watch the room implode. Dimitri does not need a reason to weaponize information. He needs an audience.

Cat has been very good at her job. She has also been very good at convincing herself she is in control. She is not. The clinic is closing in. The brother in law knows.
