This Week in Salem

After Lexie’s grand entrance lights the fuse on the will reading, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of May 11 send the chaos rippling through every corner of Salem. Belle Black is leaning on Marlena Evans for advice, Holly Jonas is lashing out at Tate Black, Brady Black and Sarah Horton are quietly comforting each other, and Philip Kiriakis is coming through for Gabi Hernandez when she needs him most. Steve Johnson is paying Alex Kiriakis a visit, Johnny DiMera and Chanel Dupree are leaning on each other, and Jada Hunter is moving Shawn Brady into her place and opening the door for renewed romance. By Thursday Amy Choi is confronting Holly, Javi Hernandez is opening up to Rafe Hernandez, and Gwen Rizczech is playing hardball with Xander Cook. Salem is fully loaded this week.

Monday, May 11

The will reading hangover hits Salem like a freight train and the DiMera family has nowhere to hide. Lexie Carver, who has been off canvas in a pod, walked straight into the will reading Friday and continues detonating whatever fragile peace Theo Carver and the rest of the family thought they were holding together. Stefano DiMera left behind a codicil designed to wreck people. Lexie Carver did not come back to play nice.

Tony DiMera also has news for Gabi Hernandez and it is not the polite kind. He walks her into a corner with an unexpected offer that nobody, including Gabi, saw coming. Tony does not make casual offers. Whatever this is, it has DiMera money and DiMera leverage all over it on Days of Our Lives.

Later, Kristen DiMera comes face to face with Sophia Choi, the teenage accomplice from her revenge plot, and that scene is going to be ugly in the best soap way. EJ DiMera is putting Cat Greene under the magnifying glass and Chad DiMera, freshly home from his year away, is busy defending Leo Stark of all people.

Tuesday, May 12

Belle Black turns to her mom for advice and let us all hope Marlena Evans is paying attention because Belle has not had a clean storyline in months. Holly Jonas, still being held responsible for Sophia’s death by half of Salem, lashes out at Tate Black and the next chapter of the Holly mess detonates right in front of him. Brady Black and Sarah Horton find each other in their respective grief and comfort each other, which absolutely no one in their orbit is going to read as platonic.

Philip Kiriakis comes through for Gabi in a way she is going to remember when the Tony deal lands. And Arianna Horton finally opens up to Liam Selejko, which Gabi will not love hearing about for reasons we will get into Thursday.

Wednesday, May 13

Steve Johnson pays Alex Kiriakis a visit and given that Steve walked Stephanie through gun safety three weeks ago, you do not have to be a Salem detective to figure out what is happening here. Alex is the new husband of Steve’s biological daughter. Steve has questions. Alex should sleep with the lights on.

EJ pulls a fast one on Gwen Rizczech, which honestly tracks because EJ has been pulling fast ones on every woman in his orbit since Stefano’s will dropped. Marlena offers Paulina Price support, which is the kind of warm middle of the week moment Salem needs after the will reading body count finally settles.

Thursday, May 14

Johnny DiMera and Chanel Dupree lean on each other through her biopsy and the stress from Sophia. Jada Hunter moves Shawn Brady into her place and the door to a renewed romance swings wide open. Steve already has questions about Alex on Wednesday. He may want to start asking them about Shawn next.

Gabi presses Ari again about her relationship with Liam and Ari is going to find out what it feels like to be cross examined by her own mother. This may drive Ari right into Liam’s arms. Amy Choi confronts Holly and there is no version of that scene where anyone walks out clean. The Sophia of it all is bleeding into every conversation in Salem this week and the tension is set to boil over.

Friday, May 15

EJ wants to explore his past with Cat. The codicil dropped a week ago and EJ is already trying to reconstruct his own history out loud with the woman who has been quietly running an operation against him. Lexie Carver is back, the will reading is rewriting the DiMera empire, and EJ is choosing this week to dig up the past with Cat Greene specifically. We have thoughts.

Kristen and Chad sit down to discuss life and death, which is the only conversation that fits a week where Stefano’s resurrection technology is no longer theoretical and Lexie Carver is walking around as living proof of it. Javi Hernandez opens up to Rafe Hernandez. Gwen plays hardball with Xander Kiriakis. Whatever EJ pulled on her Wednesday, she is ready Friday.
