Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Cat Greene’s Mysterious “Director” Comment Sparks Wild ISA Theory
Days of Our Lives fans are buzzing with theories that Cat Greene might be an ISA agent after her mysterious interaction with Shane Donovan at John’s funeral. Get all the clues!

IS CAT GREENE SECRETLY WORKING FOR THE ISA? SALEM’S NEWEST MYSTERY HAS FANS BUZZING!
The Clues Are Piling Up—And We Can’t Look Away!
Just when you thought Salem couldn’t get any more mysterious, Cat Greene drops a bombshell that has the entire fanbase doing double-takes! Did anyone else catch that moment at John Black’s funeral when she casually strolled past Shane Donovan and whispered “Hello, Director”?
Because I’m still picking my jaw up off the floor!
Look, we’ve seen a LOT of wild reveals in Salem over the years. Secret twins? Check. Back from the dead? Weekly occurrence. But a secret ISA agent hiding in plain sight? Now THAT’S the kind of twist that gets my soap-loving heart racing!
The Evidence Is Right There in Front of Us
Let’s break this down, shall we? Because the more I think about it, the more it ALL makes sense.
First off, that funeral interaction wasn’t just some casual greeting. Shane Donovan is the current ISA Director—and that’s NOT public knowledge! The way Cat addressed him so casually, so knowingly… and that look he gave her in return? Pure spy vibes. I’m talking full-on secret agent energy that had me rewinding my DVR three times just to make sure I wasn’t imagining things.
But wait. There’s more.
Remember back in May when Cat was getting all those mystery calls? Ten of them, to be exact! She was SO frustrated, telling whoever it was to stop calling because she wasn’t interested. At the time, we all thought it was just some random subplot, but what if—WHAT IF—those calls were Shane trying to recruit her? The ISA doesn’t exactly take no for an answer, especially when they want someone with Cat’s particular… let’s call them “skills.”
Family Connections That Run Deep
Here’s where it gets REALLY interesting.
Cat’s mother, Catherina Meleounis Greene, has history with the ISA through none other than John Black himself! Years ago, John helped Catherina fake her death to escape an abusive situation in Greece—a plan orchestrated under Victor Kiriakis’s orders. The ISA was probably monitoring that whole operation, which means they’ve had eyes on Cat’s family for YEARS.
Think about it. The daughter of a woman who successfully faked her own death with ISA assistance? That’s prime recruitment material right there! Plus, after everything Cat went through with Clyde Weston—being forced into his twisted scheme, having to deceive Chad DiMera, proving she could handle high-pressure deception—she’s basically got “secret agent” written all over her resume.
And let’s not forget her hobbies! Skydiving? Art studies? Come on, those are classic spy training covers if I’ve ever heard them. (And trust me, after decades of watching soaps, I know a cover story when I see one!)
What This Could Mean for Salem
If Cat really is ISA—and at this point, I’m 99% convinced she is—the possibilities are ENDLESS!
Imagine the storylines! Undercover missions targeting what’s left of Clyde’s criminal network. International espionage that could take us anywhere from Greece to who-knows-where. And the family drama? Oh, the family drama! Her siblings—Mark, Felicity, and Aaron Greene—have NO IDEA what their sister might be up to. Can you imagine their faces when (not if, WHEN) this secret comes out?
Plus, with Billy Flynn leaving the show, this gives Cat a whole new direction that doesn’t revolve around her past with Chad. She could become Salem’s newest action hero, working alongside other ISA connections like Steve Johnson or butting heads with local law enforcement like Rafe Hernandez. The romantic possibilities alone are making my head spin!
The Timing Is Too Perfect to Be Coincidence
Here’s what really seals the deal for me: the writers are clearly setting something up. You don’t have a character casually drop “Director” to the head of the ISA without a plan. You don’t show mysterious phone calls and rejected offers without a payoff. And you definitely don’t give a character a background tailor-made for spy work unless you’re planning to USE IT.
Salem has a rich history with the ISA—from Roman Brady’s early days to John’s transformation from pawn to hero. Cat joining those ranks would be a natural evolution, especially given her family’s connections and her own survival skills.
The question isn’t whether Cat Greene is an ISA agent.
The question is: when will the truth finally explode into the open? And who’s going to be caught in the crossfire when it does?
Because mark my words, soap fans—this secret is a ticking time bomb. And when it goes off?
Salem will NEVER be the same.
