TL;DR: Cat Greene has been drugging EJ DiMera, stealing lab codes, and reporting to the ISA right under everyone’s nose on Days of Our Lives, and now Dimitri Von Leuschner just walked into a hospital, heard her voice, and recognized it from his own ISA days. Which means Leo Stark is about to have the biggest scoop of his life and Cat’s nine lives might finally be running out!

Cat Greene has been living on borrowed time since the day she walked into the DiMera mansion with a fake smile and a real ISA badge tucked somewhere EJ DiMera could not find it. She has drugged the man. She has flirted with him over dinner. She has broken into his secret lab, stolen his keypad code, and reported everything back to Rafe Hernandez while EJ sat in the next room thinking she was his loyal assistant.

And somehow, Cat has gotten away with all of it. Every close call. Every suspicious question from Rita Lesley. Every moment where EJ’s instincts should have kicked in but didn’t because he was too busy falling for the woman who is actively building the case that will destroy him.

But this week on Days of Our Lives, the woman with nine lives just ran into the one person who might finally use them all up.

Dimitri Von Leuschner is back in Salem. He is at the hospital visiting Leo Stark. And when he hears Cat’s voice, something clicked. He distinctly remembers a phone conversation with an ISA analyst who sounded exactly like her. Because Dimitri used to work for the ISA himself. He was Agent Kyle Graham before he was a DiMera. And that voice? He never forgot it. Not because he has a great memory. Because ISA voices stick with you when you’ve been on both sides of the phone.

If Dimitri tells Leo that Cat sounds like an ISA operative, the domino effect is going to be catastrophic. Leo Stark has been trying to get inside EJ’s secret lab for months so he can publish the story in the Spectator. He tried sneaking in last year and found Gwen Rizczech trapped inside during a blackout. He has been obsessed with getting the scoop ever since. And Dimitri just handed him the biggest lead of his career on a silver platter.

Leo Stark With Leverage Is a Dangerous Thing

Picture it. Leo will eventually connect the dots. Cat is ISA. Cat works for EJ. Cat has access to the lab. Cat has the keypad code. And Leo, who has never met a secret he could keep, realizes he can leverage this information in two directions. He can threaten to expose Cat’s spy work to EJ unless she gives him access and inside information. Or he can work with Cat on the sly, doing the ISA’s dirty work and then publishing it all in the pages of the Spectator. A win for Leo. A win for the ISA. And a catastrophe for Cat Greene either way.

Here is where it gets truly dangerous. Cat knows that EJ DiMera is not a man you cross. She has said it herself. EJ has the Phoenix ring on his finger and the Stefano playbook in his blood. If Leo spills the beans to EJ instead of blackmailing Cat, EJ will not fire her. He will not yell. He will have her “taken out or taken away,” as the spoilers suggest. This is the man who ordered Dr. Rolf to handle Peter Blake permanently. Cat would not be the first person EJ DiMera made disappear.

The Only Card She Has Left

But there is one card Cat is still holding. EJ has a crush on her. A real one. He told Rita about his feelings after waking from his coma. He invited Cat to dinner. He has been letting her get closer than any DiMera should let anyone who is not family. And that crush is the only thing standing between Cat Greene and whatever EJ does to people who betray him.

What if Cat tries to use those feelings to survive? What if she tells EJ the truth before Leo can, frames it as falling for him while doing her job, and gambles that EJ’s heart will override the Stefano in him? That is the kind of move that either saves your life or ends it faster. And on this show, the odds aren’t great.

Rafe is running this operation from the outside. Mark Greene, Cat’s own brother, has been pressured by EJ at the hospital. Lexie Carver is waking up in the very lab Cat has been investigating. And Dimitri Von Leuschner, the man who just blew her cover, is a former double agent who has his own grudge against EJ.

Cat has survived everything Salem has thrown at her so far. But nine lives run out. And this week, she might be on her last one.
