Gwen has experienced her own share of romantic heartbreak and loss over the years. Maybe Gwen offers Gabi some unexpected comfort or understanding about dealing with grief and moving forward after losing someone you love.
Another possibility is that they bond over being outsiders in their respective families or over their shared experiences with the DiMera family drama.
