Days of Our Lives Recap October 6, 2026: Maggie Kiriakis and Family Rig the Mansion as Roman Kisses Kate

DAYS OF OUR LIVES RECAP: MAGGIE KIRIAKIS FAKES A MONEY PIT TO SCARE OFF DOMINIC MARINO

TL;DR: Your Days of Our Lives recap for October 6, 2026. Maggie and Kate talked the whole Kiriakis crew into faking mold, leaks and asbestos so buyer Dominic Marino walks away, Roman joined in and kissed Kate, and Theo turned Gabi down.

Maggie Kiriakis Turned Her Own House Into a Crime Scene

The Days of Our Lives recap October 6, 2026 belongs to Maggie Kiriakis, who decided that if she has to sell the Kiriakis mansion, she can at least make it look like a disaster. She and Kate Roberts called the family to the Pub with a plan: dress the house up as a breeding ground for mold and vermin so the inspection goes badly and buyer Dominic Marino decides he is buying a money pit.

Next stop was the empty mansion, where the old keys still work, and Roman Brady was right there with them faking bad wiring. Then Roman kissed Kate. Salem’s most respectable man just signed up for a con, and he did it for her.

Days of Our Lives Recap: The Kiriakis Crew Got Their Assignments

Maggie handed out jobs like a foreman. Xander Kiriakis took the pipes. Philip Kiriakis climbed into a plastic suit to scatter asbestos in the attic, in small amounts that come out easily once the inspector leaves. Sarah Horton painted fake black mold on the walls, and Maggie told everyone to remember where they put things so it all comes out after the inspection.

Sarah almost said no. She told them the scheme was illegal and that she is in enough legal trouble already. She came around anyway, and Brady Black showed up with his toolbox and a cage of very friendly rats.

Roman was the surprise. He had asked what they were whispering about at the Pub, got stonewalled and walked out, but he had heard every word. At the mansion he told Kate he was worried about Dominic’s connection to Stefano DiMera, so this is his problem too. Kate said she was surprised he would do something shady. “I am doing this for you,” Roman told her, and then he kissed her.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Xander Got Soaked and Sarah Noticed

Xander overdid his leak. He came out of the laundry room drenched and shirtless, and Sarah laughed and handed him a towel. Then the talk turned serious. Sarah admitted she would like the whole family under one roof again, because their daughter Victoria has been asking when they can live with Daddy again. Her ex-husband locked eyes with her.

Brady had to leave early. Rachel Black started the day with a stomachache and no fever, and Brady put it down to nerves over a math test. Later it got worse, so he went to get her, and once she was home all she wanted was her mom.

Will the Kiriakis Mansion Sale to Dominic Marino Fall Through?

If I know these writers, a fake money pit is not enough. Roman’s reason for joining tells you why: Dominic is tied to Stefano, and nobody tied to Stefano walks away from a house because of a few rats. My gut tells me Dominic sees through the mold, and the family is left explaining asbestos in the attic.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Theo Said No to Gabi but Not to the Fight

In the square, Gabi Hernandez offered Theo Carver a job, played for one day by Tajh Bellow while Tyler Joseph Andrews is out. Theo turned it down. He admitted his past attraction to her makes working together a bad idea, and after running a company he does not want to take orders. He wants some time off.

He still wants one thing. Theo wants to help expose EJ DiMera‘s crimes. He called DiMera corrupted beyond saving and said he wants to take the company apart and hold the people at the top accountable. Gabi told him she would be glad to have him on her team.

Philip found Gabi later with news that Maggie has a plan to save the mansion, and he surprised her with a kiss. Then an invitation to a high-stakes poker game landed on his phone. He looked at it a long beat, and he deleted it.

Where all of this goes next is in our Days of Our Lives spoilers, and the bigger picture on the buyer is in our earlier look at Dominic and the Kiriakis family.

Roman Brady Picked Kate Over the Rulebook

The mold is fake and the rats are tame, but that kiss was real. Roman has spent his life on the right side of the law, and today he faked wiring in another family’s house because Kate asked. Maggie gets the headline, but Roman is the one who just changed. More Salem coverage here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is buying the Kiriakis mansion on Days of Our Lives?

Dominic Marino is the buyer. Maggie Kiriakis and Kate Roberts want the sale to fall apart, so the family staged fake leaks, bad wiring, black mold and asbestos to make the house fail its inspection and look like a money pit he would rather walk away from.

Did Roman and Kate kiss on Days of Our Lives?

Yes. Roman Brady overheard the plan at the Pub, then joined the family at the mansion because he is worried about Dominic Marino’s connection to Stefano DiMera. When Kate said she was surprised he would do something shady, he told her he was doing it for her and kissed her.

Did Theo Carver take Gabi’s job offer?

No. Theo turned Gabi Hernandez down, citing his past attraction to her and his wish to take time off rather than take orders. He still wants to help expose EJ DiMera’s crimes and take DiMera apart, and Gabi said she would be glad to have him on her team.
