Days of Our Lives Recap: Dante Vitali Tells EJ About a Woman Named Rita

The Days of Our Lives recap October 21, 2026 handed EJ DiMera the one clue he did not see coming. He showed up at Dante Vitali‘s room at the Salem Inn, caught him shirtless and on the phone with Sami, and demanded to talk about Dominic Marino.

First came the insults. EJ accused Dante of using Sami and Sydney to get into the family, and Dante shot back that EJ was an absent father. Then Dante gave up a detail. Dominic’s family seemed like a sore subject, so he never pushed. They never came to see Dominic at school, and the only one who helped him move into boarding school was a woman named Rita.

EJ accused Dante of being in on Dominic’s plot and warned him not to hurt Sami Brady. Dante went cold, told EJ that Dominic is not the one who poses a threat to Sami, and threw him out.

Who Is Rita to Dominic Marino on Days of Our Lives?

Nobody on screen has said. Dante only gave a first name. But Salem knows one Rita very well: the longtime DiMera assistant who kept Stefano’s secrets from EJ and disappeared after he confronted her about Dominic. Days of Our Lives Recap: Kristen DiMera Promises Rachel She Will Come Back

Kristen DiMera woke up to an empty hospital bed and panicked. Rachel Black was only out for a routine CT scan, but Kristen was furious that nobody woke her. She and Brady Black argued, and Brady repeated his rule: she stays only until Rachel wakes up again.

Kristen did not fight him. Brady made her promise to keep her “evil impulses” in check and not lay a finger on Johnny or anyone else. Then he offered a sliver of hope. If she works on what is wrong with her, she may see Rachel again some day.

Kayla Johnson reported that Rachel is doing well. Once Kayla left, Rachel woke up, saw her mother and begged her not to go. Kristen told her she made a mistake and cannot stay, but she will work on herself and come back. She promised. Brady cried as they said goodbye.

Philip Kiriakis Finds Joy Wesley’s Muscle Relaxants

Joy Wesley was out of her wheelchair, admiring the Kiriakis mansion, when Philip Kiriakis knocked with the package Roman had for her. She was back in the chair just in time. The package was not sealed, and muscle relaxants tumbled out.

Joy said she pulled a muscle. Philip wondered why she asked her father for a prescription, and Joy got defensive. Philip realized her father still does not know what happened to her, and he let it drop. He told her what the family did to save the house, and Joy agreed the ends justify the means. When Kelsey cried, Philip calmed her with Joy’s coaching.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Stephanie Johnson Asks Kayla to Test Joy

Stephanie Johnson told her mother the hospital let her go, then turned the talk to Joy. Could Joy have faked her test results? Kayla said occasional faking is possible, but staying consistent would be a stretch. Stephanie suggested testing Joy’s reflexes when she is not watching. Kayla said she will test Joy again, though she has to take her condition seriously.

In the square, Philip told Stephanie it is strange that Joy will not tell her parents about her paralysis. At the mansion, Maggie Kiriakis told Joy she can stay even after she recovers, and when Alex Kiriakis brought over more of her things, Joy said she may accept. Once Alex left, she locked the door and told Kelsey about “The Plan.”
