EJ DIMERA’S DESCRIPTION OF RITA LESLEY MATCHES DOMINIC MARINO’S BOARDING SCHOOL MINDER

TL;DR: Days of Our Lives spoilers: Dante says a woman whose name began with R looked after Dominic at boarding school, and EJ’s description of Rita Lesley matched. Dante doubts it is the same Rita.

Dante Vitali Gives EJ a Name That Starts With R

Dante Vitali swore he had nothing to give EJ DiMera on Wednesday, October 21. EJ barged into Dante’s room at the Salem Inn, called him a liar and pushed him about his old boarding school roommate, Dominic Marino. Dante said Dominic never wanted to talk about his family. Then it slipped out. During boarding school, the family always sent a woman who worked for them to look after Dominic, and her name began with an R.

EJ knew exactly who that sounded like. He described his own runaway assistant, Rita Lesley, right down to the round glasses and “a constantly sour expression,” and Dante said the description matched. That is the biggest clue yet in these Days of Our Lives spoilers, and it comes with a catch. When EJ said a woman named Rita worked for the DiMeras, Dante had his doubts, and he said so.

Dante gave up a little more before he threw EJ out. Dominic’s parents lived in America, he said, and Dominic never visited them, and they never visited him. Dante also insisted Dominic is not the one who poses a threat to Sami Brady, and he defended his friend’s intentions.

EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) confronts his assistant Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) about Dominic Marino, whose boarding school minder she may be, in Days of Our Lives spoilers for October 2026

Rita Lesley Has Been Guarding Stefano’s Secrets Since September

If the woman at that school is Rita, a lot of her odd behavior suddenly lines up. As our daily recaps laid out, she pocketed Stefano’s ring off EJ’s coffee table on September 4, 2026, and lied about it four days later. On September 18, alone with Stefano DiMera‘s portrait, she said, “It’s playing out as you planned, sir. Mr. DiMera, I trust I’ve done you proud.”

On October 2, Marlena Evans demanded to know, “Is Dominic Marino my son? And is Stefano his father?” Rita said she had no information and walked out. On October 7, EJ asked whether Dominic was his brother. Rita claimed she knew nothing and reminded him she knows where all the bodies are buried.

By October 13, EJ suspected Rita Lesley had taken the ring for Dominic, and she had disappeared. We covered how that blowup began in EJ’s showdown with his assistant. She has not been seen since, which is exactly why Wednesday’s clue stings. The one woman who could explain it is gone.

Is Rita Dominic Marino’s Mother on Days of Our Lives?

No episode says so. The birth certificate Steve Johnson showed Marlena on his phone on September 25 lists Stefano as Dominic’s father and Marlena as his mother. If you have heard that Rita’s name is on that document, it is not. Paper is not proof, though, and no DNA test has aired, so who actually gave birth to Dominic is still an open question.

Here is the detail getting skipped. Dante never confirmed that the woman at the school is EJ’s Rita. He agreed the description fit, then said he doubted it, and he said the family lived in America. Stefano and Marlena both made their lives in Salem. Could the family that kept sending a minder be Stefano himself, with Rita as his go-between?

Minder, Messenger or Something Closer to Dominic

The speculation runs a few directions, and the on-screen evidence ranks them. The strongest is that Rita was Dominic’s minder at school, sent by whoever was footing the bill. Next is that she has been working Stefano’s plan for Dominic all along, which fits the ring and the portrait. Some speculation goes further and asks whether she raised him, or even carried him. My gut tells me that last one is a stretch, because it fights the only document the show has put on screen.

Here is what is coming. Kyle Pryor arrives as Dominic on Monday, November 2. On Thursday, October 22, Steve uncovers more troubling information about Dominic that could make things harder for Marlena and her family, though nothing on the wider spoiler slate says what he finds. No preview has EJ tracking down Rita Lesley yet. If I know these writers, the woman with the round glasses walks back into the DiMera mansion before Dominic ever does.

EJ Lost the One Woman Who Can Explain Dominic Marino

Our take: Dante slipped, and he knows it. A man covering for his friend does not hand over the first letter of a name by accident, then cast doubt on it a minute later. He is protecting Dominic, or he is protecting the woman who used to show up at that school.
