Days Of Our Lives
Buckle Up, DAYS Fans! A Codicil To Stefano’s Will From Overseas Blindsided EJ DiMera, But Who Sent It?! Now Theo Is In Charge And Marlena Is a Beneficiary…
EJ DiMera got blindsided by a codicil filed from overseas. Theo is executor. Marlena is a beneficiary. Who sent it? The suspects are terrifying.

EJ DIMERA GOT BLINDSIDED AND WE HAVE A FEELING IT’S JUST THE BEGINNING
TL;DR: Yesterday on Days of Our Lives, EJ DiMera was on his way to probate court blindsided after a codicil to Stefano DiMera’s will was filed from overseas naming Theo Carver as the new executor and adding Marlena Evans as a beneficiary. Three real suspects could have sent it. Every single one of them will shake Salem up and prove Stefano is still calling the shots.
EJ DiMera Walked Out of Probate Court a Lesser Man
Yesterday’s episode of Days of Our Lives dropped the DiMera bomb fans have been bracing for since Stefano’s memorial candles blew themselves out in February. A codicil to the old man’s will was filed from overseas. EJ DiMera was blindsided. And what he learned was shocking. Theo Carver is the new executor of the will. Marlena Evans has been added as a beneficiary. And somewhere, on another continent, somebody with access to Stefano’s legal network is quietly pulling the strings.
Who did it? Someone who has a motive written in blood.
Got a theory on who filed the codicil overseas? Send your full case to [email protected] and we might publish your take before the will reading hits the mansion.
Suspect Number One: Vivian Alamain
Start with Vivian Alamain. She is Alamain royalty, she has loathed the DiMeras for longer than most of the current cast has been alive, and the last time we saw her son Stefan DiMera on canvas, she kidnapped him. Vivian has the reach, she has the legal channels overseas, and she has her son as a bargaining chip. The problem? She’s supposed to be dead.
But on Days, dead means temporarily unavailable. We think she’s alive and scheming and what better way to reappear than by inserting chaos into the DiMera succession and filing a codicil from a European jurisdiction that Salem’s probate court cannot easily contest? The catch is motive. Adding Marlena as a beneficiary and handing executor duties to Theo does not obviously serve Vivian’s interests. Unless, of course, the whole point is to destabilize EJ DiMera long enough for something much worse to happen.
Suspect Number Two: Megan Hathaway
Second suspect. Megan Hathaway. Stefano’s biological daughter, cryogenically preserved for decades, brought back to life in 2022, and currently “unreachable” according to the guest list Cat Greene was compiling for the will reading next Thursday. She was mentioned last week on an episode. This wasn’t a coincidence. And Megan has orchestrated kidnappings from overseas before. She sent Harris Michaels after John Black and Steve Johnson from halfway around the world without breaking a nail.
And unlike EJ, unlike Kristen DiMera, unlike Chad DiMera, Megan actually has a legitimate gripe about being written out of Stefano’s main estate. A codicil that installs Theo as executor, who’s her grandson through Lexie Carver, is the kind of inside job a real DiMera would run. Megan has the lineage, the access, and the grudge. She also has the distance to do it all without anyone in Salem being able to serve her a subpoena.
Suspect Number Three: Stefano DiMera Himself
Now the third theory. Stefano DiMera himself. Picture it. Dr. Rolf has said that Stefano actually died well after everyone thought he did. The real timeline of his death is still foggy, and the only person who knows for certain is Rolf, who is currently running Lexie’s revival experiments out of the DiMera basement. A man who has literally resurrected two Salem characters in the past year is not going to hesitate to keep the Phoenix’s wishes alive on paper. Stefano’s obsession with Marlena as his Queen of the Night is canon.
Adding her to the beneficiary list from beyond the grave is the most Stefano move on earth. Of course, we think he handled this when he was still on Earth – though who knows? Still, what a glorious surprise. The codicil might not be a scheme. It might be Stefano’s real wishes, finally surfacing.
The Marlena and Theo Tell Nobody Is Talking About
There’s one more thing nobody is talking about. Theo spent his last counseling session telling Marlena that EJ convinced him to step down as CEO because Lexie would be heartbroken to learn her son was running the family company. Johnny kept the chair. Theo walked away. Marlena asked whether the whole thing had been orchestrated. Two days later, the codicil hits, and suddenly Theo is executor and Marlena is a beneficiary. That is not coincidence.
EJ DiMera has spent months believing he had this succession locked down. The codicil says otherwise. Whoever filed it from overseas knew exactly which pressure points would collapse the DiMera throne.
It’s going to be an interesting week.
Place your bets in the comments. Vivian, Megan, or Stefano himself? Who filed the codicil?
