DAYS WILD TWIST! Amy Choi Is Suing Holly Jonas for Sophia’s Death — But the Drug That Lands Holly in the Hospital May Change Everything
Holly Jonas is sued for Sophia’s death. Then she collapses and Coriseal is found in her system. Salem has a much bigger problem than a lawsuit.
HOLLY JONAS IS BEING SUED FOR A DEATH SHE DID NOT CAUSE AND THE DRUG IN HER SYSTEM COULD HELP PROVE IT
TL;DR: Amy Choi has filed a lawsuit against Holly Jonas on Days of Our Lives and EJ DiMera is already showing signs that he’ll handle it. But when Holly collapses and Sarah Horton finds Coriseal in her system, the same drug tied to Destiny’s death and her sister Clea’s fatal overdose, the lawsuit becomes the least of Salem’s problems. Someone is poisoning people in this town. And the question of who and why has national security written all over it.
The Lawsuit That Should Not Exist
Holly Jonas did not cause Sophia Choi’s death. Sophia spent months swapping Holly’s skincare supplements with her own antipsychotic medication, driving Holly into erratic and dangerous behavior that Sophia then weaponized to paint Holly as the villain in a story Sophia had engineered from the beginning. She wrote a suicide note pointing the finger directly at Holly. She “jumped” into the Salem River thanks to the help of Kristen DiMera, who whacked her on the head from behind at the most appropriate moment. Whether Sophia landed on the other side is anybody’s guess. She could still be huddled up in Salem somewhere.
But for now, Amy Choi is a grieving mother and nobody is saying otherwise. But filing a lawsuit against the girl her own daughter spent months drugging and framing is a grief response the courts are going to have a very hard time sustaining. EJ DiMera has already been protective over Holly. She’s his former stepdaughter, after all, and Holly reached out to him immediately. Whether that means a legal strategy or something considerably more EJ is a question Salem should be asking. Because when EJ and shady drugs are in the same vicinity, there’s trouble.

The Drug That Changes Everything
Here is where this stops being about a lawsuit and becomes something much larger. Holly Jonas collapses. She is rushed to the hospital. Sarah Horton finds Coriseal in her system. Not Sophia’s antipsychotic medication. A different drug entirely. The same one found in Destiny’s system when she died in front of Sarah at the free clinic. The same one found in Destiny’s sister Clea’s body after her fatal overdose.
Brady Black and Sarah have already been digging into these deaths. Brady tracked Liam Selejko to Brookville, where he showed up flush with new money. Sarah confirmed that DiMera Pharmaceuticals manufactures the generic version of Coriseal. Holly was recently prescribed antidepressants by her psychiatrist. Spoilers indicate someone has gotten into her pills and laced them. Sophia swapped Holly’s supplements once. This time the person behind it has access to a prescription supply and a pattern of victims that stretches across multiple Salem residents.
That is not a grudge. That is a campaign.
Who Is Behind This and Why
There have been references this season to a situation that could become a threat to national security. The Coriseal deaths, the drug in Destiny’s autopsy, Clea’s overdose, and whatever Liam Selejko knows are all pointing toward something operating at a scale far beyond one person’s agenda.
Then there is the stranger seated behind a computer who is apparently manipulating Stefano’s beyond the grave wishes. Could this individual be involved as well? Anything is possible.
Could all this connect to EJ’s Versavix program? Rolf has been running experiments in that lab for months. The drug that brought Lexie Carver back is already showing side effects nobody anticipated. Could there be a second substance being introduced?
And why is Kristen DiMera suddenly calling Sydney, EJ’s daughter? Spoilers indicate that Sydney is coming back to Salem this summer. Why? EJ is already threatening Kristen because she tried to harm his son, Johnny. The fact that Kristen has also called EJ’s daughter is suspicious, indeed.
Back in Salem from the cabin, Holly Jonas is twitchy, snapping at Tate, and she’ll soon be caught with pills she insists are not hers. The drug in her system that has already killed two people. And the man she thinks will protect her legally may be connected to the very substance that put her there.
Salem has a complicated relationship with protection. Holly Jonas began this week being sued for a death she did not cause. She is going to find out what Salem means by protection. Safety is elusive in the town Tom and Alice Horton once presided over so lovingly.
Could the Coriseal in Holly Jonas’s system be the thread that unravels EJ DiMera’s entire operation? And who in Salem would want to poison her? Sound off below!
