TL;DR: Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of April 20 tease Johnny DiMera finally taking action on Chanel Dupree DiMera’s health, Lani Price returning to reconnect with both her sister and Kristen DiMera, Chad DiMera coming face to face with Cat Greene, EJ getting kicked out of his own mansion by Gwen before Kristen slaps him across the face, and Sophia waiting in the wings for her next set of instructions. Salem is loading every gun it has this week.

This Week in Salem

The week of April 20 is going to hit Salem from every direction. Chanel Dupree DiMera will finally have someone who understands what she is facing when Lani Price arrives to catch up with her sister. Johnny DiMera will stop waiting and start acting on Chanel’s health, which after that lump is not a moment too soon. EJ DiMera will find his world shrinking when Gwen Rizczech gets thrown out of the mansion, Kristen DiMera reconnects with Lani, and by Friday Kristen will put her hand across EJ’s face. Chad DiMera will walk back into an awkward reunion with Cat Greene, and Sophia Choiwill be sitting quietly waiting for Kristen’s next orders. This week is not going to be subtle.

Monday, April 20

Chanel Dupree DiMera will sit down with Lani, and given everything that has been happening with her health, this is not going to be a casual sisterly visit. Lani has been away long enough to see things with fresh eyes, and what she is walking into should worry everyone. Stephanie Johnson will continue leaning on Jeremy Horton, which tells you things with Alex Kiriakis have not improved. Theo Carver will open up to Gabi Hernandez, and given the journal he just started about his mother’s resurrection, there is a question of how much he is willing to share. Rafe Hernandez and Cat will revisit the DiMera medical mystery, which means someone is sniffing around the edges of what EJ has been hiding.

Tuesday, April 21

Cat Greene and Chad DiMera will come face to face for the first time since Chad left Salem, and the word awkward does not begin to cover it. Cat has been getting closer to EJ while Chad has been away, and whatever is between them will have to be addressed now. Philip Kiriakis and Gabi will steal a romantic moment, which is lovely until you remember Theo is watching with feelings he has not told anyone about. Leo Stark will stalk Javi’s new boyfriend online, which is both tragic and entirely on brand. EJ will kick Gwen out of the DiMera mansion, which suggests their alliance has hit its expiration date. And Theo will remain hopeful about Lexie, still carrying a secret that is one journal entry away from blowing up his entire family.

Wednesday, April 22

Marlena Evans will press Xander Cook, and when Marlena presses, she does not stop until she gets what she wants. Kristen will reconnect with Lani, and this should make everyone nervous. Kristen has already enlisted Sophia to help murder Johnny. If she is reaching out to Lani, the question is whether she wants comfort or another piece on her chessboard. Kate Roberts will lie to Roman Brady, which given what she and Xander have been scheming is not surprising. Johnny will finally act when it comes to Chanel Dupree DiMera’s health, and after what they discovered, that action cannot come fast enough. Tate Black and Sophia will clash, and with Sophia sitting on a murder plot and the knowledge that Rachel shot EJ, Tate has no idea what he is stepping into.

Thursday, April 23

Steve Johnson will walk Stephanie through gun safety, which tells you exactly where her head is after everything Owen put her through. This is a woman who was kidnapped and held captive, and now she is learning to shoot. Jeremy Hortonwill open up to Julie Williams, and whatever he shares will carry weight because Jeremy does not talk to Julie unless it matters. Chad will question Gwen, which makes sense given that her partnership with EJ just imploded. Leo will try to make plans with Javi, still pretending he did not spend the morning stalking Javi’s new boyfriend online. And EJ will be blindsided, and given that Kristen is circling and Gwen just got thrown out with motivation to talk, it could come from anywhere.

Friday, April 24

Alex and Stephanie will grow closer, which is interesting given that she has been leaning on Jeremy all week and just learned how to handle a firearm. Sarah Horton will chastise Xander, and whatever he has done to earn it is probably something viewers have been wanting someone to say. Brady Black will be enraged on Marlena’s behalf, which means someone has come for the queen of Salem. Kristen will slap EJ across the face, and that slap has been earned. And Sophia will wait for further instructions, which means the murder plot against Johnny is still alive and the most dangerous teenager in Salem is standing by.

Chanel Dupree DiMera’s health, Kristen’s war on EJ, and Sophia’s quiet patience are all building toward collision. Days of Our Lives is not going to let anyone look away this week.
