Days Of Our Lives
DAYS SUPER SPOILER: Leo Stark Saw Javi Hernandez Cuddle Up With a Very Hot Firefighter Named Gus in Horton Town Square And He Began Plotting
Leo Stark watched Gus arrive in Salem, saw the arms go around Javi Hernandez, and had thoughts. Then he began plotting to get Gus out of town.

GUS IS IN SALEM AND LEO STARK IS ALREADY THE PROBLEM
TL;DR: Gus arrived in Salem to be with Javi Hernandez permanently, threw his arms around his new man in Horton Town Square, and Leo Stark witnessed every second of it on Days of Our Lives. Leo chose Dimitri over Javi on their wedding day. Javi moved on. And now Leo gets to stand in the square watching the consequences of that decision.
A Quick Refresher on How We Got Here
Leo Stark and Javi Hernandez got married on New Year’s Eve. Marlena Evans officiated. The Hernandez family was there. Salem turned out. And then Dimitri Von Leuschner walked in and kissed the groom, and Leo kissed him back, and Javi returned his wedding ring and asked that the marriage certificate never be filed.
Leo left Salem to help Dimitri clear his name. He came back in April having realized, with the specific clarity that only bad choices and their consequences can produce, that Javi was the one he actually wanted. He went to therapy about it. He wrote it down on paper. He said out loud to anyone who would listen that Javi Hernandez made him want to be a better man and that he had made a catastrophic mistake on that dance floor.
Javi came back in April too. He said he wanted to avoid seeing Leo. He said he was prepared to move on with his life. And then he met Gus.
Is Salem’s most emotionally transparent man finally going to let someone else have their moment, or is he already plotting his next move? Send your hottest takes to [email protected] and we might publish them!
The Face Leo Made in Horton Town Square
This week Leo ran into Javi on the way to meet Gus, which is already a sentence that contains multitudes. And then Gus arrived in Salem permanently, and Javi was thrilled, and the arms went around each other the way arms go around someone when the decision has already been made and the geography has been sorted and the whole thing is simply and completely real.
Leo watched all of it.
Leo Stark is not a subtle man. He is a man who processes his feelings in real time and at full volume, and watching the person you chose wrong walk into a permanent future with someone new is not the kind of thing that produces a neutral expression. Whatever Leo’s face did in that square this week, it told us everything about where this story is going. And Salem has a very specific history with men who watch the wrong door close and decide the correct response is to open it back up anyway.
Three Men, One Town Square, Zero Boundaries
Here is the structural problem. Horton Town Square is Salem’s living room. Everyone passes through it. Everyone runs into everyone there, usually at the worst possible moment, usually with witnesses. Gus is now a permanent resident of Salem. Javi is here, thriving, freshly reunited. And he is not the kind of man who quietly retreats to a corner and processes his feelings in private.
Leo inserts himself. It is not malicious exactly, it is constitutional. He cannot watch a situation he is emotionally invested in without becoming part of it. He is going to run into Gus. He is going to have opinions about Gus. He is going to say those opinions to Javi’s face and he is not going to hold back.
The question is not whether Leo involves himself in Javi and Gus’s relationship. The question is how loudly and whether he will lean into sabotage to get Gus out of Salem for good.
Will It Work?
Here is the thing about him that makes this genuinely interesting. Leo is not actually a villain. He is a man who made the wrong choice on the most important night of his life. He is not trying to destroy Javi’s happiness. He is trying to not watch it happen without him, which is a more complicated problem.
Leo Stark is also, and this matters, the man Javi chose to marry. Whatever Gus is building with Javi right now is new and thrilling and real, but Leo has years of history, a shared baby, a wedding night, and a ring that got returned on the table. That is not nothing. It is also not enough.
The arms went around Gus. Javi is thriving. And Leo’s best move right now is to let them have it.
He is almost certainly not going to make his best move.
Is Leo Stark going to let Javi and Gus have their happiness or is Horton Town Square going to become a full time drama zone? And whose side are you on? Sound off below!
