We Were DUPED! Every DAYS Spoiler in the Universe Told Us Lexie Carver Was Waking Up…But It Was Nothing But a Dream Sequence!
Every spoiler told us Lexie Carver was waking up today on DAYS and it was a dream sequence and we have some very loud words for the writers.
LEXIE CARVER IS STILL SLEEPING PEACEFULLY AND THE WRITERS TRICKED US
TL;DR: Every single spoiler site on the internet told us that Lexie Carver was waking up on Thursday’s episode of Days of Our Lives and instead Theo fell asleep at her bedside and dreamed the whole thing and now we are sitting here feeling like fools while the writers high five each other in a room somewhere for pulling off the most infuriating bait and switch of 2026.
The Spoilers Were Unanimous
The receipts are staggering. Soap Hub ran a headline that said “Good Morning, Lexie.” Celeb Dirty Laundry said Lexie Carver would “finally open her eyes.” Soaps.com ran a full preview titled “Lexie Carver Wakes Up.” Soap Opera News said “it finally happens” and described her opening her eyes and calling out Theo‘s name. Soapsspoilers said it would “send shockwaves through multiple storylines.” Thursday April 9 was the day “Lexie wakes up!” they all said. And we were on it as well, of course. Setting our clocks and waiting for that magical moment when she opened her eyes and saw her beloved son.
And what did we get? Theo fell asleep next to his mother’s bed and had a nice little nap.
Lexie Carver didn’t wake up on Days of Our Lives. Theo dreamed she did. She opened her eyes, said his name in his dream, and when he jumped up to rush out and tell Abe, dream Lexie stopped him and told him she was sleeping and so was he. That is not a resurrection. That is a nap with good production values.

The Writers Knew Exactly What They Were Doing
Here’s what’s maddening. The writers did not accidentally mislead us. They filmed promotional material that showed Lexie opening her eyes. They released spoiler photos of Lexie and Theo together with her awake. They worded the official spoilers in a way that every outlet on earth interpreted as confirmation.
And then the writers pulled the rug out with a dream sequence.
That’s a trick soaps have been pulling since the beginning of time. You film a scene that looks real, you release it to the press, you let the audience build anticipation for weeks, and then you slap a dream label on it and call it creative storytelling. It is not creative. It is bait and switch wearing a lab coat.
So When Does Lexie Actually Wake Up
Now that we’ve vented, let’s talk about the real question. When will Lexie really wake up?
The answer is almost certainly before the will reading. EJ DiMera has been planning the reading of Stefano’s will for weeks. Cat is arranging the logistics. Chad is coming home for it. Every DiMera sibling with a claim to the fortune will be gathered in one room. That is the kind of moment Days of Our Lives writers live for, and waking Lexie up in the middle of Stefano’s final act would be the most dramatically satisfying payoff they could deliver.
Think about it. The will is being read. The family is fighting over money and power and legacy. And then the doors open and Lexie walks in. The sister everyone thought was dead. The daughter Stefano spent years trying to bring back. The woman whose existence EJ has been hiding from everyone except Theo and Paulina. We guess this is a scene worth waiting for after all.
The Suspicion Is Building
In the meantime, people in Salem are starting to notice that something is off. Paulina has been acting strange for weeks because she knows Lexie is alive and cannot tell Abe. Theo just stepped down as CEO of DiMera for reasons he will not explain. Abe and Paulina are fighting. Chanel has been asking questions about Paulina’s behavior.
The dots are going to connect and when they do, it will be ugly. Abe is going to find out that his wife and his son both knew Lexie was alive and kept it from him. That is a betrayal that could end his marriage to Paulina. That is a revelation that could send him straight back to the woman he never stopped loving.
The writers are building to something big. We just wish they had not dangled today’s episode in front of us like a carrot. Lexie Carver deserves a real awakening. And when it finally comes, it better be worth the wait. Because right now, we are not feeling particularly patient.
