Marlena inherited it after losing the love of her life, and it should be treated with the kind of care and reverence that honors everything John built. Instead, Marlena Evans just invited a woman whose corporate resume reads like a criminal indictment to co-run it with her.

This is the same Kate Roberts who poisoned Chloe Lane and put her in a coma. The same Kate who framed Sami Brady for a murder that Lucas committed and watched Sami get sentenced to death. The same Kate who hired hitmen to kill Victor Kiriakis. The same Kate who married Stefano DiMera so he would destroy evidence of her crimes. Kate’s Corporate Track Record Is a Crime Scene

Let’s walk through Kate’s history. She took over Titan and used it as a personal weapon. She married Andre DiMera to position herself at DiMera Enterprises and that ended with Andre strangled and Kate as a prime suspect. She was demoted so thoroughly she ended up waiting tables at the Brady Pub. She took over Vivian’s sexual harassment scheme against Sonny Kiriakis hoping to seize control of Titan. She was a secret investor in Basic Black once before alongside Nicole and Theresa, and that arrangement was hardly a masterclass in ethics.

And right now, today, Kate is embroiled in the Bonnie plagiarism mess at Titan Publishing. She escalated the lawsuit without telling Maggie or Philip. She engineered a trap that left Johnny humiliated and DiMera Publishing facing litigation. Johnny accused the entire Kiriakis family of setting him up, and Kate’s fingerprints are all over it. The betrayal is already on the table.

Marlena Is Grieving and That Makes Her Vulnerable

Here’s the part that makes this infuriating. Marlena is still grieving John. She lost the man who defined her entire adult life on Days of Our Lives. She is carrying his company, raising his legacy, and trying to fill a void that no business deal can touch. When someone is in that kind of pain, they reach for stability. They reach for someone who seems competent and confident.
