And right now, every room Rachel Black walks into is telling Marlena something is very wrong.

It started with the little things. Rachel pinched Marlena on the upper arm while they were baking cookies on St. Patrick’s Day because Marlena was not wearing green. Marlena told her firmly that they do not pinch anyone, ever, for any reason. But after Rachel left the room, Marlena did not brush it off. She was concerned. Because Marlena Evans does not miss behavioral cues. That is literally her job.

Marlena was also there when Rachel retrieved a package from Sophia Choi that had been delivered to her own front door. Rachel hid the box, texted Sophia to scold her for sending it to her grandmother’s house, and handed Marlena the rest of the mail like nothing happened. That package contained the drugged vitamins that Rachel later passed to Tate Black as a gift for Holly Jonas. The same vitamins that Sophia swapped with her own antipsychotic medication. She has evidence that her granddaughter helped drug another girl. And this is not a woman who compartmentalizes when a child’s safety is at stake.

The Hearing That Kristen DiMera Was Never Going to Survive

Kristen DiMera pulled Rachel out of Bayview in February against Dr. Gregory’s advice, against Marlena’s professional opinion, and against Brady Black‘s wishes. Belle Black warned her at the time that removing Rachel before she was ready could push her case from the mental health system into the judicial system. Kristen did not care. She offered Brady joint custody, moved into his apartment, told Gwen Rizczech she never planned to move out, and treated the arrangement like a romantic strategy instead of a parenting plan.

Now they are facing Judge Dabney, who watched Kristen burst into a courtroom to confess to shooting EJ DiMera. Belle told Kristen to walk in, recant her confession, and keep her mouth shut. Kristen’s response was to complain about Belle’s tone. Spoilers say Kristen will be defiant at the hearing on Thursday. By Friday, she will threaten Marlena. And the judge’s ruling will devastate Rachel.

Brady Gets Full Custody and Kristen Loses Everything She Schemed For

Here is what this week is building toward. Marlena Evans is not going to lie for Kristen. She simply can’t. She is a psychiatrist who knows her granddaughter was pulled out of treatment too early, continued communicating with a manipulative girl in a psychiatric facility, physically acted out against her own grandmother, and participated in a scheme to drug Holly Jonas. If Judge Dabney asks Marlena whether Rachel has the stability she needs outside of a facility, Marlena is going to tell the truth.

That truth will cost Kristen everything. And a devastated Kristen DiMera is the most dangerous version of this woman.
