Days Of Our Lives
The Salem PD & the FBI Just Handed Owen Kent the Key to Escape But He Doesn’t Need One! Cause Nobody Uses Handcuffs on DAYS!
The Salem PD is handing Owen Kent every opportunity to escape while leaving Brady Black alone to interrogate a kidnapper.
OWEN KENT KIDNAPPED TWO PEOPLE AND SALEM FORGOT THAT HANDCUFFS โ AND IVs โ EXIST ON DAYS OF OUR LIVES
TL;DR: Steve and Brady found Owen Kent in Horton Square, and Steve wrestled with him for ages as Brady looked on. Countless minutes later, the two protectors perp-walked Owen to the station WITHOUT HANDCUFFS. And when they arrived, Steve left Brady, who has no place training, alone in a room to interrogate Owen Kent, a violent kidnapper. But Owen was missing one accessory again: HANDCUFFS! Meanwhile Stephanie is traumatized, Jeremy deserves the reward money, and nobody has started an IV on either one. Beyond that? The rescue went well.
Let’s Start With the Handcuffs
You know what handcuffs are. Those round metal things. The ones Owen Kent used on Stephanie Johnson and Jeremy Horton when he restrained them in a basement storeroom for days? Owen knows what they are, too. He used them on two humans. So why, when Steve Johnson and Brady Black finally tracked Owen down in Horton Square on Monday’s Days of Our Lives, didn’t Steve handcuff him immediately?
Steve struggled with Owen forever as Brady just stood there, until Brady finally suggested Steve wait to kill him and the trio walked to the Salem PD together like they were heading to brunch. No cuffs. No restraints. Owen could have bolted and these two men would have had to explain to Kayla why the man who kidnapped her daughter went for a jog.

Brady Is Not a Police Officer
Time for a serious conversation. Brady has no badge. No law enforcement credentials whatsoever. He’s a former Titan Industries executive and recovering addict with his own criminal history, including cocaine charges, burglary, and theft. His qualifications for interrogating a kidnapping suspect? ZERO.
And yet Steve left Brady alone with Owen. Not Rafe. Not Jada. Not any actual detective who presumably passed a civil service exam. Steve chose the man whose only contribution to the investigation was to remind him it was best not to kill Owen.
Who kidnapped Steve’s logic?
And once they were left alone, Owen nearly attacked Brady. Because he’s a violent stalker with a huge rap sheet. But then, Owen talked. And he used the opportunity to admit Dr. Rolf hired him, but he would never tell anyone why. Then he admitted he would never let Stephanie go. All valuable info that should have been extracted by a trained interrogator, rather than someone who once stole money from the Titan safe.
Has Anyone in Salem Heard of an IV?
We’re also annoyed because Stephanie was nearly hypothermic when Alex found her. She’d collapsed. Jeremy was holding her to generate body warmth. Both had been restrained in a basement for days without food, water, or heat. The dehydration alone should have warranted attempted murder charges.
Yet when Stephanie and Jeremy arrived at the hospital, why didn’t anyone start an IV? Dr. Kayla Johnson hugged her daughter, which is understandable, but someone should have been sprinting toward both patients with an IV bag. All Jeremy got was a split for his dislocated thumb!
Stephanie Says This Will Never Happen Again
Stephanie also assured everyone this was all behind them. That scared us the most. On Days of Our Lives, that’s a promise that something terrible will happen. Owen Kent kidnapped her years ago, but he came back. And now, he’s promising to never let her go as those who’ve apprehended him are playing Free Willy!?
Guaranteed trouble.
He’s not going to give up. He doesn’t have have to. The authorities in charge seem to be pointing the way to a flashing EXIT sign. Just so he can take kidnap her again. Or do something worse.
Set your timers.
Meanwhile, Jeremy deserves the reward money and a formal apology from every person who accused him. He is the unsung hero and he deserves much more than Alex’s belated “my bad.”
And did you catch the haunted look in Stephanie’s eyes? We don’t think that was ALL about kissing Owen. We think she’s developed feelings for Jeremy again โ feelings she doesn’t realize she still had. Oh, what a wicked web is being woven. Just wait until Joy Wesley shows up with Alex’s baby in town.
But we digress.
Owen told Brady he read Stephanie’s book, figured out she was Anastasia Sands, and realized he still had feelings. That is not romance. That is a predator finding a new angle of entry. The authorities are providing it. Salem should be terrified.
Do you think Owen Kent’s arrest will actually stick? Or is the Salem PD setting up another escape? Sound off below because we cannot stop yelling!
