DAYS BOMBSHELL! What If Paulina Price Goes to Crazy Town & Takes Control of Lexie Before EJ Can Even Say “Resurrected!”

TL;DR: Paulina Price ripped into EJ DiMera on Monday’s Days of Our Lives after seeing Lexie alive in Rolf’s lab, but EJ’s manipulative dare to pull the plug backfires when he drops a chilling bombshell to Gwen: Lexie is NOT the only subject waiting for resurrection and the work MUST continue. Meanwhile Abe confesses to Roman that Lexie is still in his heart, and Paulina may just take matters into her own terrifying hands.

EJ DiMera Played Paulina Like a Fiddle and She Knows It

Monday’s Days of Our Lives picked up with Paulina Price breathing fire. She watched EJ DiMera crack open a glowing pod and reveal that Lexie Carver, the woman who died in Abe Carver‘s arms fourteen years ago, is somehow alive. And EJ has the gall to smile about it.

EJ told Paulina it was within her authority as mayor to halt Dr. Rolf’s experiments, but dangled the alternative. She could forget she ever saw anything and let them bring Lexie back. Paulina accused him of planning to sell the technology on the black market. EJ didn’t deny it, calling her a businesswoman who could see the vision. Paulina Price fired back and called him a callous bastard with no conscious.

But we could see her wheels turning. “What if she wakes up and it’s…not her?” Paulina asked EJ. But what if it is her? What if it’s one hundred percent beautiful, beloved Lexie.

EJ’s Psychological Chess Move Was Absolutely Diabolical

Here’s where EJ may have pushed Paulina over to the dark side. “Lexie is the love of Abe’s life and her awakening would change everything for you,” he said. “So if you want to pull the plug, I can’t stop you. But are you really wanting to play God with her life?“

He reminded her that even God took seven days to create the world. Maybe she should take ONE to think it through. Then he twisted the knife. If she keeps Abe from his “dearly departed wife and Theo from his sainted mother,” he would hate for them to find out SHE stopped this miracle from happening.

Paulina may not stop Lexie’s resurrection. But she also doesn’t want Lexie anywhere near her husband and stepson. They’ve said their goodbyes. Paulina is the new matriarch of the family. And she’ll be damned if she allows Lexie to waltz back in and ruin the life she’s fought so hard to build.

What if Paulina decides she’s going to control how and when Lexie emerges again?

Across Town, the Nightmare Is Worsening

While Paulina was getting gutted by EJ, Abe was at Brady’s Pub talking to Roman Brady. What he said should terrify Paulina further. Though he says Paulina has healed him in so many ways and he loves being married to her, Abe admitted it’s Lexie who is still in his heart.

He does not even know she is alive and he’s already confessing she occupies his soul. Imagine what happens when he discovers she’s breathing again.

At the same time, EJ is confessing to Gwen Rizczech that Paulina knows everything. His strategy was to practically beg her to pull the plug, banking on the belief she would not want Lexie’s blood on her hands. “What if you’re wrong?” asks Gwen.

And then EJ dropped a bombshell.

“We move on,” he says. They have OTHER SUBJECTS WAITING. They set up shop somewhere else. The work MUST continue.

Other subjects. Plural. Confirmation that Lexie is not the only individual in their resurrection queue. As we’ve previously speculated, Stefan DiMera, Abigail Deveraux or any number of dearly-departed Salemites could be lying in wait. EJ and Gwen are bankrolling a resurrection FACTORY, not a one-time miracle.

What If Paulina Does Something Nobody Sees Coming?

Paulina Price is not someone life happens to. She survived cancer, built an empire, and runs Salem as mayor. What if instead of pulling the plug or letting EJ win, she decides on a different option and kidnaps Lexie herself?

She cannot let Lexie walk back into Abe’s life unchecked. But she cannot kill Lexie either. If Abe and Theo Carver ever discovered Paulina stopped her from living again, they would never forgive her.

So she controls the miracle, kidnaps Lexie, then looks her dead in the eyes as she says what any woman would think. I respect what you once had with my husband but he is MY husband now and you may not come back after fourteen years and take him from me!

If Rolf is shocked to discover Lexie missing on Thursday, imagine how EJ will feel. He’ll have no idea where his half-sister is. Because Paulina Price got there first.
