When has ANY relationship on Days of Our Lives EVER started this smoothly without someone dying, faking their death, or turning out to be their own evil twin? The answer is NEVER. Dante is either going to turn out to be a secret crime lord, Stefano DiMera in a very convincing disguise, or he’s going to conveniently disappear right before the wedding because this engagement is nothing more than Sami’s elaborate revenge plot against her exes!

Even Lucas wondered if the engagement was just a ruse to get under their skin, and honestly? Lucas might be the only person in Salem using his brain right now! Sami’s track record with impulsive decisions is longer than the list of people who’ve come back from the dead in Salem, and marrying a Vitali after TWO MONTHS of dating screams desperation move rather than true love!

EJ DiMera’s Jealousy Is PROOF He’s Still In Love With Sami Brady

Can we talk about how EJ literally CANNOT handle the fact that Sami is engaged? The man was at the Pub brooding at the bar, raising a wistful glass to “Samantha” like he’s the tragic hero of some Shakespearean drama! Then at the gala, they shared LINGERING LOOKS as she left with her fiancé. If that’s not soap opera code for “these two are absolutely getting back together,” then I don’t know what is!

EJ smugly told Sami he bet she wouldn’t make it down the aisle, and instead of being offended, she playfully accused him of being JEALOUS. And you know what? She’s absolutely right! EJ is green with envy, and his vindictive streak is working overtime trying to sabotage this engagement before it even gets started.

Let’s not forget that EJ pointed out Dante’s mob connections as if EJ himself isn’t a DiMera who’s done approximately ONE MILLION terrible things! The hypocrisy is STUNNING. But here’s the thing on Days of Our Lives: when a man is THIS pressed about his ex’s new relationship, it’s because he’s still madly in love with her.
