Days Of Our Lives
DAYS WILD SPECULATION! Was That A Spark We Caught Between Theo Carver and Joy Wesley And Could Lexie Carver Bless A New Romance Before Saying Goodbye Again?!
Could Theo Carver and Joy Wesley become Salem’s next real romance after their Horton Town Square meet-cute? And could Lexie bless it?

JOY WESLEY MIGHT BE THE LOVE STORY THEO CARVER NEEDS
TL;DR: Could Theo Carver and Joy Wesley have a real spark on Days of Our Lives after their Horton Town Square meet-cute? And with spoilers suggesting Lexie Carver may not stay in Salem forever, could her final gift to her son be giving him her blessing on the woman who is finally making him happy? We have thoughts.
Let’s Set the Scene
Theo Carver is having the strangest spring of his life and Salem is treating it like a passing inconvenience. His mother, Lexie Carver, is alive. Out of the wine cellar. Back at the hospital. And the entire town keeps asking Theo how she is feeling with the same energy reserved for a friend with a head cold.
Lexie herself is not coming back warm and fuzzy. She is coming back in charge. She researched Paulina Price on her hospital tablet and announced she has nothing good to say. She demanded to meet her. Abe Carver is paralyzed between the wife he got back and the wife he married while she was dead, and Paulina is wondering out loud whether she is still legally married to him at all.
Theo is glued to his mother’s bedside. He is worried about his father and about Paulina. He has been opening up to Gabi DiMera, whom he’s still crushing on. Jada Hunter is a closed chapter. And on Tuesday, Theo stepped out into Horton Town Square and saw Joy Wesley again. And there was a definite spark.

The Horton Town Square Moment Salem Was Not Ready For
Joy was out with baby Kelsey and the stuffed elephant her daddy Alex gave her. The elephant dropped. Theo bent down, picked it up, and handed it back. He played with the baby. Joy was appreciative in the way women get when someone is unexpectedly good with their child. Theo looked like he was somewhere he wanted to be for more than 30 seconds.
That is a chemistry test. And the show is running it on purpose.
Could this be the romance Theo Carver has been waiting for? Not the long-shot with Gabi. Not the fizzled-out arc with Jada. Not the parade of family tragedies swallowing his year. Could Joy be the person who finally walks into his life when he is ready to be loved.
The Escalation Nobody Saw Coming
Imagine where this could go. Theo finds reasons to be back in the square. Joy finds reasons to wander back as well. They open up to one another. Theo tells Joy about his mother coming back from the dead. Joy tells Theo about leaving Salem pregnant, hiding the truth from Alex Kiriakis, raising Kelsey alone in New York, and coming home when she realized he might be open to the idea.
And the romance begins to simmer.
The Bittersweet Part Nobody Wants to Say Out Loud
Here is the piece of this story that has been quietly sitting underneath everything since Nikki Crawford was cast.
Word from Days is that Crawford was originally signed for a six-month run as Lexie. Days of Our Lives tapes between eight and ten months out from air. The math is not subtle. Spoilers have already begun hinting that Lexie’s return may not be permanent.
If that is where this is heading, then Theo Carver is on a clock he does not know about. The mother he has back. The mother he has been worrying about every day. The mother who has been demanding things from her hospital bed and hating Paulina out loud like a woman who intends to make the next fifty years count. She may have much less time. Spoilers indicate she’ll be dying yet again.
And in that case, the most beautiful version of this story is not Lexie objecting to Joy. It is Lexie watching her son fall in love with someone apparently decent for now, sitting him down, and giving him her blessing before she has to say goodbye again.
Salem has been treating Lexie’s resurrection like a minor health scare. The audience knows better. And if Joy Wesley is the woman Theo gets to love while he still has his mother to introduce her to, that might be the most generous gift this storyline can give him.
This would not just be a love story. It would be love interwoven with a goodbye.
Could Joy and Theo become Salem’s most beautiful new romance this summer and could Lexie bless it before she has to leave him again? Sound off below because this comment section will be absolutely unhinged!
