Victoria Konefal could have dodged the question. She could have given the standard “never say never” that every soap alum gives when asked about returning. She could have pivoted to her movie, her music, her next chapter. Plenty of actors do.
Victoria Konefal did not do any of that.
In a new interview with Digital Journal, the Daytime Emmy winner was asked about her future and she went straight to Salem. She said she would love to go back. She said she is not opposed. She said Ciara Brady is a huge part of her career and the shaping of who she is as a person. And then she said the part that has us fully losing it: she misses her.
Not “I appreciate the experience.” Not “it was a great chapter.” She MISSES her. Present tense. Active emotion. That is a woman who is ready to come home and is making sure Days of Our Lives knows it.

She Already Left the Door Wide Open
Victoria Konefal also spoke about working with Peter Reckell, her onscreen father Bo Brady, calling it an honor and saying the father daughter moments meant as much to her as they did to the fans. She said for years she never thought she would get the chance because Bo was presumed dead, and when it finally happened, it was beautiful.
Outside of daytime, Konefal has a horror thriller called Scared to Death in theaters now alongside Lin Shaye of the Insidious franchise. She is also working on her debut rock album, set for release by the end of the year. When asked about the current chapter of her life, she said one word: moving forward.
But moving forward and moving away from Salem are two very different things. And everything Victoria Konefal said in this interview suggests she is moving forward with one eye firmly on the door she left open in Salem. DAYS, the ball is in your court.
