TL;DR: Xander Kiriakis fires Brady Black from Titan Industries after discovering Brady’s New Year’s Eve romance with Sarah Horton. The jealousy-fueled termination reportedly sends Maggie Kiriakis into a rage, threatening to destroy everything Xander has built on Days of Our Lives.

A Kiss That Launched Corporate Warfare

Well, soap fans, it finally happened. Xander Kiriakis just proved that sitting in Victor’s chair doesn’t automatically give you Victor’s restraint. When Brady Black shared a tender New Year’s Eve kiss with Sarah Horton at the Kiriakis mansion, he probably didn’t expect it would cost him his entire career. But this is Salem, where romance and revenge are always on a collision course.

The weekly preview for the January 5 through 9 episodes of Days of Our Lives shows Xander delivering those brutal words we’ve all been waiting for. “You’re fired.” Not because Brady failed at his job. Not because of performance issues or corporate restructuring. No, Xander Kiriakis is firing his cousin because Brady had the audacity to move on with his ex-wife.

Let that sink in for a moment. The divorce is finalized. Sarah is a free woman who can kiss whoever she wants. And yet here we are.

Did Xander Just Torch His Only Support System?

Here’s where things get really messy. Maggie Kiriakis has spent years defending Xander through kidnappings, lies, and violent outbursts. She gave him a home. She supported his claim to the CEO position. She believed in him when nobody else would.

But targeting Brady while his daughter Rachel sits in Bayview psychiatric facility? That might be the line Xander cannot uncross.

Sources say Maggie is absolutely livid when she learns about the firing. She reportedly views this as petty jealousy threatening the entire company and the Kiriakis legacy. And honestly? She’s right. Xander Kiriakis just weaponized a billion dollar corporation to punish a man for kissing his ex-wife. That’s not leadership. That’s a temper tantrum with a corner office.

The real question is whether Maggie will demand Xander reverse the decision. She owns that mansion. She holds serious influence at Titan. If Xander Kiriakis loses Maggie’s support, he could find himself without a home AND without a job. Talk about karma.

What About Sarah’s Role in All This?

Poor Sarah is caught directly in the crossfire here. She and Brady have been living under Maggie’s roof, finding comfort in each other after incredibly difficult circumstances. Brady’s daughter was just institutionalized before Christmas. Sarah is navigating a divorce and custody arrangements for Victoria. They’re two lonely people who found connection during the holidays.

Now Sarah has to watch her new romance become the excuse for corporate retaliation. How long before she’s forced to publicly choose sides? Because make no mistake, this situation is about to get very public and very ugly.

Some fans are speculating that Sarah might actually stand up for Brady in a major way. Others think she’ll try to play peacemaker between the warring factions. Either way, her relationship with Xander just got ten times more complicated.

Is This the End of Xander’s Redemption Arc?

For years, Days of Our Lives has tried to soften Xander’s rough edges. Therapy sessions with Marlena. Genuine efforts to be a better man for Sarah and Victoria. Real attempts at legitimacy within the Kiriakis family.

One New Year’s Eve kiss and all of that progress is up in flames. The mask didn’t just slip. It fell completely off and shattered on the floor.

The Kiriakis Family War Has Officially Begun

What happens when Maggie confronts Xander about this decision? Will Brady fight back with legal action or a board level power play? Could this disaster actually push Sarah and Brady closer together?

The irony is brutal. Xander fired Brady to keep him away from Sarah. But nothing bonds two people like a common enemy trying to destroy their lives. This revenge scheme might backfire in the worst possible way.
