Alexis Davis and Tracy Quartermaine Are Fighting Over Danny Morgan on GH…and Carly Spencer Showed Up Uninvited Because of Course She Did
Jason named Alexis Davis as Danny’s guardian on GH. Tracy threatened to fight it. Carly walked in with parenting advice nobody asked for.

ALEXIS DAVIS HAS GUARDIANSHIP AND CARLY SPENCER STILL HAD SOMETHING TO SAY
TL;DR: Jason Morgan named Alexis Davis as Danny Morgan’s legal guardian on his way out of Port Charles in handcuffs on General Hospital. Tracy Quartermaine immediately threatened to fight her over it. And then Carly Spencer walked through the door with parenting advice nobody asked for, compared the situation to Alan and Monica, and left. Two women were having a conversation. Carly made it three.
Jason Named Alexis and Tracy Is Not Having It
Jason Morgan told Alexis Davis on his way out of the PCPD in WSB shackles that he was naming her as Danny Morgan‘s legal guardian. He did not name Tracy Quartermaine. He did not name Carly Spencer. He named Alexis. The attorney. The grandmother. The woman who promised Sam she would look after her kids.
Alexis went to Tracy and delivered the news. Tracy was not surprised that something like this had happened. She had been anticipating it for years because Jason’s life has always been one bad night away from exactly this situation. But she was not about to let Alexis walk away with Danny without a fight.
Tracy threatened to take it to court. Alexis asked if she really wanted to put Danny through that kind of battle after his life had been upended yet again. She promised the Quartermaines could see Danny whenever they wanted. Tracy considered it. She did not like it. But she heard it.
Two women. One teenager. One very complicated conversation about what is best for a boy whose father was just hauled away in a federal van. A conversation that was being handled between the two people who actually have standing in this situation.
And then Carly walked in.

Carly Showed Up Because Carly Always Shows Up
Nobody called Carly Spencer. Nobody texted Carly Spencer. Nobody asked Carly Spencer to weigh in on the guardianship of a child she has no legal claim to. And yet there she was, standing in the middle of a conversation between Alexis and Tracy, offering parenting advice like a woman who had been formally invited to consult.
Carly told Alexis not to make the same mistake Alan and Monica made with Jason. She said not to enforce too many rules. She said to loosen the reins and be a safe space. She compared Danny’s situation to Jason’s childhood at the Quartermaine mansion, as if Alexis Davis, a woman with a law degree and decades of experience raising daughters in complicated circumstances, needed Carly Spencer to explain how parenting works.
Here is the thing about Carly. She is not wrong. The advice itself was solid. Danny is Jason’s son. He is wired like Jason. Putting him in a box with rigid rules and expectations is going to push him away the same way it pushed Jason away from the Quartermaines decades ago. Carly knows this because she watched it happen and she lived through the fallout.
But knowing something and being invited to share it are two very different things, and Carly Spencer has never once in her life waited for an invitation.
Tracy Admitted Carly Was Right and That Might Be the Most Shocking Part
After Carly delivered her unsolicited wisdom and walked out, Tracy looked at Alexis and said Carly was not wrong about Danny being Jason’s son. She chuckled that Alexis had her work cut out for her.
Tracy Quartermaine agreed with Carly Spencer. Out loud. In front of another human being. That might be the most unexpected moment in this entire episode, and this is an episode that included a grieving mob boss recruiting his estranged brother as a secret weapon.
Tracy and Carly have spent years circling each other with the kind of mutual disdain that only two women who both believe they are the most important person in any room can generate. And yet on the subject of Danny Morgan, they landed on the same page. Danny is Jason’s son. Danny will not respond to structure the way a normal teenager would. Danny needs room to breathe and people who understand that his father’s world is never going to leave him alone.
Alexis is standing in the middle of all of this holding a legal guardianship, a promise she made to Sam, and the opinions of two women who both think they know better. She has her work cut out for her. Tracy is right about that. And somewhere out there, Carly is already planning her next uninvited visit.
Do you think Alexis Davis is the right choice for Danny, or should Tracy Quartermaine have fought harder? And how long before Carly shows up again with more advice nobody asked for? Sound off below!
