TL;DR: General Hospital’s Anna Devane is finally free and surrounded by the people who love her, but we think Peter August followed her home from wherever he’s been, and he wants something from her that nobody else can give him.
A Homecoming With an Audience of One Too Many
Anna Devane walked back into her own condo to Mac, Felicia, Emma, and Gio waiting with open arms, and for a moment it looked like the nightmare was over. Dante even confirmed that both Cassius and Cullum are dead, closing the book on the impostor scheme that landed her in a clinic in the first place.
Anna blamed Cassius for convincing her Faison was alive and costing her her freedom, and she is not wrong to be angry. But the second she was alone, Peter August appeared to her with a smirk and a line that should terrify anyone who knows her history: “Now you can finally get your revenge.”
That is not a grief hallucination talking. That is something with an agenda.

What Does Peter August Actually Want?
Here is the part that should worry Mac, Felicia, and everyone else celebrating Anna Devane’s release: this appears to be at least the second time Peter has shown up in her head, and he is not offering comfort. He is pushing her toward revenge, and Anna Devane just spent the better part of a storyline being told by everyone around her that her instincts could not be trusted.
We think this haunting escalates fast. A vision that starts as guilt and grief has a way of turning into something that whispers louder every time Anna Devane is alone, and revenge is exactly the kind of bait that could make her start keeping secrets from Mac and Felicia all over again, the same isolation that got her locked away the first time.
If Peter starts steering her toward decisions she would never make with a clear head, the people who just got her back may lose her all over again, just in a different way.
