THIS WOMAN HAS SEDUCED, SCHEMED, AND SURVIVED WORSE THAN SOME ART DEALER WITH AN ATTITUDE

TL;DR: Trina warned Ava that Sidwell is dangerous. Ava said she knows how to “deal with men like him” and announced plans to spend more time at Wyndemere. On General Hospital, we’re pretty sure Ava Jerome is about to eat this man alive.

Ava Jerome Doesn’t Get Warnings, She Gives Them

Trina Robinson tried to do a nice thing on General Hospital today. She tried to warn Ava Jerome that Jenz Sidwell might be dangerous. She urged her to be careful. She expressed genuine concern for her safety and wellbeing.

And Ava’s response? A knowing smile and the declaration that she knows exactly how to “deal with men like Jenz.” Then she announced she’ll be spending a lot MORE time at Wyndemere.

Sweet Trina. Precious, innocent Trina. You don’t warn Ava Jerome about dangerous men. Ava Jerome IS the warning about dangerous men. She’s survived mobsters, serial killers, and three separate marriages to Nikolas Cassadine. Sidwell thinks he’s a threat? Sidwell has no idea what’s coming for him.

Those “Shipping Fees” Aren’t What They Seem

Let’s talk about the little detail that everyone might have missed: Ava was surprised by unexpected shipping fees on a purchase she’s making for Sidwell. She wasn’t just annoyed โ€” she was caught off guard. Ava Jerome doesn’t get caught off guard unless something is very wrong or very interesting.

We’re guessing those “shipping fees” are actually Ava’s first glimpse into just how shady Sidwell’s operation really is. Maybe the art isn’t art. Maybe the prices don’t add up. Maybe Ava just stumbled onto something that gives her leverage over the most dangerous man currently operating out of Wyndemere.

And if there’s one thing Ava Jerome knows how to use, it’s leverage.

A Brief History of Ava Handling Dangerous Men

For anyone who needs a refresher on why we’re not worried about Ava and why Sidwell should be absolutely terrified, let’s take a stroll down memory lane.

Ava Jerome has seduced her way into and out of more dangerous situations than most soap characters have storylines. She’s manipulated Sonny Corinthos. She’s survived Julian Jerome. She literally kept Morgan Corinthos’ bipolar medication from him as part of a scheme. She’s murdered, she’s covered up murders, she’s been framed for murders she didn’t commit, and she’s walked away from all of it with her hair still perfect.

Sidwell is an art dealer with delusions of grandeur. Ava is a woman who once switched Morgan’s medication and watched the fallout without blinking. This is not an even match.

Wyndemere Is About to Get Interesting

When Ava announced she’s planning to spend more time at Wyndemere, we didn’t hear a woman walking into danger. We heard a woman setting up shop in enemy territory to figure out exactly what she’s dealing with โ€” and how to use it to her advantage.

Sidwell has Britt working on some secret project. He has Cullum threatening people. He has Anna locked up somewhere. He thinks he’s running Port Charles from the shadows. And now Ava Jerome is about to be in his space, watching his operation, learning his secrets, and smiling that smile she smiles when she’s about to destroy someone’s entire life.

The Question Isn’t Whether Ava Can Handle Sidwell

The question isn’t whether Ava can survive Sidwell. The question is what Ava is going to DO with Sidwell once she figures out his weak spots. Is she going to expose him? Blackmail him? Seduce him and steal his entire operation? Partner with him until she can betray him at the perfect moment?

All of the above is possible. All of the above is very Ava. And honestly? We’re grabbing popcorn and settling in because watching Ava Jerome take down a man who underestimated her is our favorite genre of television.

Trina tried to warn Ava about the big bad wolf. But Trina forgot: Ava Jerome doesn’t run from wolves. She wears their fur as a coat.

Is Ava about to destroy Sidwell or is she in over her head for once? Sound off to the editor at amber@soapoperamagazine.com!

WATCH THIS: Is THIS how Willow gets caught?

@soapoperamag Okay, so it looks like Willow is going to get away with it again (AND GOOD FOR HER)…except did she make a critical error? One of our fans pointed out a major flaw in her cover up and we can not stop thinking about it! #GH โ™ฌ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
