And Jason, calm as ever, looks him dead in the eyes and says: “Drew will never be in your children’s lives.”

Not “I hope Drew won’t be around.” Not “We’ll figure something out.” Not “Let’s see what happens.”

NEVER. That’s an absolute. That’s a guarantee. That’s a promise from a man who spent decades as Sonny Corinthos’ enforcer, and we need to unpack what exactly he’s planning to do to make good on it.

Drew Cain Is Currently a Vegetable, So Technically…

Now, to be fair, Jason might not have to do much of anything at this point. Drew Cain is currently lying in a hospital bed with a “stroke” that could leave him with locked-in syndrome — fully conscious but completely unable to move, speak, or control anyone ever again. If that diagnosis holds, Drew won’t be in ANYONE’S life in any meaningful way.

But Jason didn’t know the full extent of Drew’s condition when he made that promise. He just knew his brother was in the hospital. He made that guarantee before anyone confirmed Drew might be a vegetable for the rest of his days. Which means Jason had a plan that didn’t rely on Drew’s medical condition.

And that’s the part that has us intrigued. And slightly terrified. And honestly, a little excited.

Let’s Remember Who Jason Morgan Actually Is

For anyone who needs a refresher, Jason Morgan is not just Michael’s uncle and emotional support enforcer. This man has a RESUME. He was Sonny’s right hand for decades. He’s handled “problems” that needed handling. He’s made people disappear when disappearing was required. He’s done things that would make most people faint, and he’s done them without breaking a sweat.

When Jason Morgan tells you someone will “never” be a problem again, that’s not optimism. That’s not wishful thinking. That’s a man who knows exactly how to make that statement true and has zero hesitation about following through.

Is Jason planning something? Did he already have contingencies in place before Drew’s stroke? Is he relieved that Willow apparently handled the situation first, or is he disappointed he didn’t get to do it himself?

The Timing Is Suspicious

Here’s what’s really cooking our noodles: Jason made this promise AFTER Drew was already hospitalized. He knows Drew Cain is incapacitated. He knows something happened to put him in that condition. And instead of saying “well, looks like Drew’s out of the picture,” he made a definitive promise about the future.

That suggests Jason isn’t relying on Drew’s current condition to keep him away from the kids. He’s prepared for the possibility that Drew might recover. And he’s already decided what he’ll do if that happens.

Willow might have gotten to Drew first with that syringe, but if she hadn’t? We’re pretty confident Jason had his own plan brewing. And honestly, it probably would have been a lot more permanent than locked-in syndrome.

Michael Has the Scariest Support System in Port Charles

Think about who’s in Michael’s corner right now: Sonny, who just told the ADA that Drew “got what he deserved” and the case should be dropped. Jason, who’s promising Drew will never be around the kids. And apparently Willow, who already took matters into her own hands with a hypodermic needle.

Drew Cain spent months thinking he was the most powerful man in Port Charles, threatening and blackmailing everyone in his path. He never stopped to consider that he was making enemies of people who solve problems in very permanent ways.

If Drew somehow recovers from this stroke, he’s waking up to a world where multiple people have already decided he needs to be eliminated. And Jason Morgan’s promise suggests that even if Willow’s syringe didn’t finish the job, someone else will.
