Josslyn Jacks took a bullet to the stomach chasing Cullum’s van, and it became the most consequential gunshot of the night. Bleeding on that dock, she heard the entire confession, every syllable about Britt Westbourne’s fake diagnosis, the poison, and Cullum’s plan to pin the whole project on Cassius while taking credit for stopping it. Then Cullum shot Cassius and left him crumpled on the concrete. Josslyn crawled her way to a gun and ended the storyteller mid-victory-lap.
A helicopter delivered the night’s final mystery: a man flanked by armed guards who checked Cassius for a pulse, walked right past Cullum’s body, and promised a panicking Josslyn that everything would be okay. Who is he? No clue yet, and honestly, the not knowing is delicious.
The Sickest Irony: Handcuffs Did What the Medicine Never Would
Now rewind to the beat that makes this reveal so twisted. Mere days ago in Tortola, Britt was seconds from giving herself an injection, unaware her medication had been swapped for poison, when officers burst in and arrested her for kidnapping. The handcuffs everyone treated as her downfall were the save of the year. She is alive and in U.S. custody because the law reached her before the “cure” did.
The clues were already on the table, too. Word reached the PCPD that a syringe found in Britt’s room contained saline, useless against a disease like Huntington’s, and Lucas swore that made no sense for a doctor of her caliber. It made perfect sense the moment Cullum opened his mouth: there was never anything to treat. Britt Westbourne spent years planning her own ending around a countdown that did not exist.
So here is our prediction, and we are already bracing. The truth was born on that dock and currently belongs to two gunshot victims, and once it claws its way to a certain holding cell, we predict Britt Westbourne stops running from death and starts hunting everyone who built the lie. A She-Devil with nothing left to fear and everything to avenge? Port Charles should update its insurance.
