GH GHOST STORY! Peter August Appeared the Moment Anna Was Alone, and Even Death Might Be Part of the Act
Anna got cleared to come home, then Peter August appeared with one chilling question, and our GH theories range from ghost to con man.
PETER AUGUST IS BACK, BUT IN WHOSE REALITY?
TL;DR: The doctor cleared Anna to come home onย GH, then Peter August appeared the second she was alone, and we cannot tell if he is a ghost, a guilt trip, or a living con man.
Anna Passed Every Test and Packed Her Bags
The clinic in France finally delivered good news. Felicia Scorpio confirmed to Anna Devane that she had been right all along about Nathan not being Nathan, and Anna immediately had her friend repeat the story to Dr. Laurent, needing the therapist to verify she had not conjured the whole thing. The verdict came back clean: Anna is ready to return home.
The apology tour followed. Felicia marveled that Anna managed to uncover the truth in the middle of a mental health crisis and said she was sorry for ever doubting her, while Anna was purely grateful her friend believed her in the end. The two made plans to fly home together, and Felicia left Anna alone in her room. That is when the temperature dropped.

Then the Dead Man Delivered His Review
The moment Anna was alone, she had a visit fromย Peter. “Nicely done,” he cheered, before dropping the question that sent ice down our spines: “Do you think she bought it?” Two little sentences, one detonation under everything that clean bill of health was supposed to mean.
Sit with that line, because it refuses to behave. Who is “she,” Felicia or the doctor? And what exactly got bought, Anna’s recovery or something darker? A dead man complimenting a performance implies there WAS a performance, and that is the part keeping us up at night. Anna spent months fighting to be believed, and the first voice to congratulate her belongs to the one visitor she can never, ever mention out loud.
Figment, Phantom, or Faison-Level Fraud: Our Theories
Theory one says this is Anna’s mind at war with itself. Peter has haunted her before; during her captivity she saw visions of him tormenting her and insisted he was a ghost built by her own mind. She let him die in 2022 rather than save him, a choice that protected Port Charles and punishes her still. Hallucination-Peter applauding her recovery would be her guilt whispering that she fooled her therapist, her best friend, and maybe herself.
Theory two is the soapier nightmare: he is alive. This is the Faison bloodline, where death certificates are opening acts, and this canvas already spent months hosting an imposter who wore a dead man’s face. If Felicia’s tire iron did not finish the job, Peter has been watching Anna from the shadows for years, and “do you think she bought it” becomes one half of a conversation with a partner we have not met. Cue the mystery helicopter man? We are not saying it, but we are absolutely thinking it.
Whichever door the show opens, Peter arriving the instant Felicia left is the detail we cannot shake. His killer walked out of the room, and he strolled in grinning. Ghosts have timing; con men have surveillance. Anna boards a plane home tomorrow, and we predict Peter is coming with her, one way or another.

Did Anna Fool the Doctor, or Is Peter Fooling Anna?
This one splits the room, Port Charles. Is Anna genuinely healed and being gaslit by a very alive predator, or is her clean bill of health the performance her guilt keeps applauding? And if Peter is breathing, who is on the other end of “do you think she bought it”? Take it to our Facebook page and fight it out.
