Brook Lynn Quartermaine deserves so much better than this chaos. She’s been watching her husband defend Willow Tait through an entire criminal trial, even after Willow was acquitted and then immediately attacked Drew Cain with a syringe, putting him in a coma. Chase cannot see what everyone else sees. His obsession with protecting his ex-wife has compromised his judgment, cost him his career, and now it’s threatening his marriage.

That diagnosis clearly shattered something inside him, and instead of processing that grief in a healthy way, he has redirected all of his paternal instincts into this bizarre savior complex with Willow. He’s trying to protect someone who doesn’t deserve protection while neglecting the woman who actually married him.

Something tells me Brook Lynn Quartermaine is going to pump the brakes hard on this adoption talk. And honestly? She should. Chase needs to prove he can control his temper before anyone puts a child in his care. He needs to stabilize his career situation. He needs to stop defending Willow at the expense of his own family. Until those things happen, adoption is a Band-Aid on a bullet wound.
