The thread “Brooklyn Is Not Responsible For The Accident” had readers screaming that Brook Lynn Quartermaine wasn’t to blame and Jordan caused her own crash by kissing Curtis while driving. Charlie Mason finally confirmed it for Soaps.com on May 13. The forum was a week ahead of canon.
Soap Hub’s Stacy Feintuch lit the fuse on May 11 with commentary calling Curtis’s investigation “a personal vendetta than justice” and pointing out that he doesn’t like Isaiah because of Isaiah’s relationship with Portia. My gut tells me Friday’s Metro Court explosion is the writers leaning all the way into that frustration. They’re not protecting Curtis anymore. They’re letting him cook himself.
Isaiah Has the Receipts and Curtis Has Nothing
Tuesday’s episode was the breaking point. ADA Justine Turner summoned Isaiah and asked him directly whether his black BMW SUV had been in an accident. Isaiah refused to provide a paint sample without his attorney, walked out, and watched a judge deny Justine’s warrant for lack of probable cause. Curtis came home and told Jordan he was going to find the evidence himself.
This is exactly the moment fans have been begging the writers to stop ignoring. Curtis Ashford has paint color and a parking-garage scratch story. That is it. Meanwhile, Brook Lynn confessed to Tracy that she’d had a glass of wine and was on the road, and Tracy ordered the family cover-up that nobody in the PCPD has cracked. Could this mean Tracy’s stranglehold on the truth is what actually clears Isaiah? If I know these writers, the woman covering up the real story is going to be the one who lets it slip.
Where Curtis Ashford Goes From Here
Something tells me Curtis isn’t getting out of this Friday scene with his reconciliation intact. He spent December rebuilding what he had with Jordan. He spent May torching it in a public restaurant over a baby that won’t be here for months and an investigation a judge already shot down. This has all the makings of a redemption arc that doesn’t just stall — it reverses.
Curtis Ashford had two roads on Friday. He picked the one that ends with Portia, Isaiah, Jordan, and half of Port Charles questioning whether he was ever the good guy in this story to begin with.

Why writers are destroying Curtis this way is getting questionable. When Portia/Isiah started seeing one another I knew there would be problems, but not the way things have developed. In my opinion, I don’t feel writers really ever want to allow there be a true peaceful relationship between Portia/Jordan/Isiah. But in the process allowing Curtis to become so holier than thou, is absolutely hard to believe. Time for a readjustment on Curtis ‘persona and move on.
