WILLOW CALLED HIS BLUFF, AND DREW WASN’T BLUFFING

Drew Cain already knows Jack Brennan is dead, and on General Hospital, he’s decided grief can wait while he uses that knowledge to squeeze two women who both have far more to lose than he does.

A Secret He’s Not Grieving

While the rest of Port Charles treats Jack’s disappearance as a mystery, Drew Cain is one of the only people who already knows Jack is dead. Instead of telling anyone, he went straight to Willow’s office to figure out whether Jack had handed her proof of the funds Drew embezzled before he died. He wasn’t there to mourn a man who’d recently threatened him, and he wasn’t there to check in on an ex-wife going through a rough week either. He was there to find out exactly how much danger he was still in, and whether the leverage Jack once had against him had died along with him.

Drew taunted Willow that without Jack’s fabricated evidence, she no longer had any power over him, but he made sure to remind her that he still had plenty of leverage to use against both her and Nina. That’s not a man processing loss over someone who threatened him days earlier. That’s a man doing inventory on what he can still get away with now that his accuser is conveniently out of the picture.

Think Drew actually goes public with what he knows about Willow and Nina? Email your theory to amber@soapoperamagazine.com and we might feature it.

Calling His Bluff Wasn’t Free

When Willow pointed out that Drew had no proof of any actual crime, he didn’t back down. He threatened to go public with the fact that Willow had shot and drugged him, and that Nina had tried to drown him, banking on the idea that dragging his own trial back into headlines would still do more damage to their reputations than to his own. Willow called that bluff, smirking that doing so would only humiliate Drew after the performance he already gave during his own trial testimony.

Drew Cain didn’t have a comeback ready, so he dropped something worse instead: a vague warning that Willow wasn’t as protected by Nina’s money as she thought she was. He left before Willow could ask what that meant, refusing to elaborate even as she pressed him, and her bravado crumbled the second the door closed behind him.

The Vow That’s Coming

Whatever Drew Cain is planning, General Hospital has already confirmed it’s not over. Wednesday’s preview has Drew making a vow, and Thursday’s has Ava confronting him directly, which lines up neatly with the fact that Ava is the other person in Port Charles who already knows exactly what happened to Jack. If Drew’s vow is about protecting himself at Willow and Nina’s expense, Ava is in a position to either back him up to keep her own secret safe, or blow the whole thing wide open the second it stops benefiting her more than staying quiet does.

Two Threats, One Very Calm Man

Nobody in this triangle is currently panicking except Willow, and that’s exactly how Drew Cain wants it. He’s sitting on information that could destroy both Willow and Nina, he’s already used it once to shut Willow down mid-sentence, and he still walked away with a threat left in his back pocket for later, saving it for whenever he needs leverage again. Calm, controlled, and clearly not worried about consequences, Drew is playing a much longer game than anyone else in the room seems to realize.

Sound off in the comments: does Drew actually follow through on exposing Willow and Nina, or is this all a bluff of his own?

The Man Who Isn’t Afraid Of Anyone

Drew has spent this entire arc treating a dead man’s secrets like a weapon instead of a warning, and everyone around him is still underestimating how far he’s willing to take it. Willow thought she’d shut him down for good. Instead, he switched targets and kept walking, already lining up his next move before she’d even caught her breath.
