TL;DR: On General Hospital, Felicia Scorpio sat down with Lucas Jones at Café Cherie Friday, dropped a line about being hurt by men whose first allegiance is to the WSB, and walked away with information she did not have an hour earlier. Cesar Faison’s son is impersonating his dead twin in the same town. His daughter is dying without her medication. Felicia did not come back to Port Charles for the conversation. She came back for the cleanup.

The Dinner That Was Never About the Dinner

Felicia Scorpio sat down with Lucas Jones at Café Cherie Friday night and waited for Carly Spencer‘s name to come up. It came up exactly when Felicia knew it would. Lucas got a text from his sister. Felicia told him to invite her over. Carly walked in. Felicia told Carly she knows first-hand what it is like to be hurt by a man whose first allegiance will always be to the WSB. Then Felicia stood up and left the siblings to talk.

That sequence reads like a soap dinner. It plays like a soap dinner. But Felicia does not do soap dinners. She is the wife of Mac Scorpio, the ex-wife of Frisco Jones, the woman who once survived being held captive by Cesar Faison for months, and the mother of Maxie Jones. Felicia does not show up to a public restaurant in Port Charles to eat appetizers and gossip. Felicia shows up because she is working a case nobody knows is open.

Cesar Faison’s Children Are All in Port Charles Right Now

Here is the table Felicia walked back into. Britt Westbourne, Cesar Faison’s daughter, is dying without her medication, working for Jenz Sidwell and Ross Cullum under threat, and the only person actively keeping her alive is the man pretending to be her dead twin. Cassius Faison, Cesar Faison’s son and Britt’s twin, is impersonating Nathan West in plain sight, hacked the PCPD database to swap his fingerprints in for Nathan’s, has Josslyn Jacks locked under Wyndemere, and is letting Maxie believe she has her husband back.

Felicia’s daughter Maxie is in love with a man who is wearing her late husband’s face. Felicia knows what Cesar Faison’s face does to a woman who loves him. She knows what Cesar Faison’s son is capable of because she lived through what Cesar Faison did to her. And Felicia is suddenly back in Port Charles having dinner with the brother of the woman who is engaged to a WSB agent who has been investigating the Faison cold fusion project.

That is not retirement. That is a target list.

The WSB Line Was a Tell

Felicia Scorpio told Carly Spencer she knows what it is like to be hurt by a man whose first allegiance will always be to the WSB. That sentence sounds like sympathy. It is reconnaissance. She was telling Carly that she knows the WSB intimately enough to recognize the damage the bureau leaves behind. She was establishing herself as a credible source on WSB betrayal. She was opening a door for Carly to walk through later when Carly needs somebody who has actually beaten this kind of operation.

Felicia did not say it for Carly’s benefit. She said it for the next conversation. The one where Carly comes back to Felicia and asks for help finding her daughter, who Felicia already suspects is somewhere on Cassadine property because Felicia knows the Cassadines and the Faisons have been using the same territories for forty years. Felicia is not consoling Carly. Felicia is recruiting her.

The Lucas Jones of It All

Why Lucas Jones? Because Lucas Jones is Sam McCall‘s brother by blood, and Sam was Jason Morgan’s wife, and Jason Morgan is currently in WSB protective custody for shooting Cullum, and Lucas Jones knows things about his sister’s last years on this earth that nobody else in Port Charles knows. Lucas Jones is the cleanest entry point into the network Felicia actually wants access to.

Felicia cannot walk up to Sonny Corinthos and ask about Faison. She cannot walk up to Anna Devane without setting off every WSB alarm in the building. She can have dinner with Lucas Jones, who is unaffiliated, well-connected, and trusted by every player Felicia actually needs to talk to. Lucas Jones was the door. Carly was the test. The WSB line was the calling card.

The Liesl Obrecht Variable

Liesl Obrecht is the part of this Felicia is going to have to handle carefully. Liesl is Britt’s mother. Liesl was Cesar Faison’s lover. Liesl recently learned her thought-dead son might be alive and is trying to figure out what is happening with her daughter. Liesl is going to be hunting the same Faison children Felicia is. The two of them are going to end up in the same room asking the same questions about the same dangerous men, and that room is going to be the most explosive scene Port Charles has aired since Faison faked his own death the second time.

Felicia Scorpio versus Liesl Obrecht over a Faison body count is the storyline this town has been building toward since Liesl came out of hiding. Friday’s dinner was the opening chess move. The pieces are on the board. Felicia is playing.

Nobody in Port Charles Sees It Yet

That is the wild part. Carly thinks Felicia was being kind. Lucas Jones thinks his godmother showed up for a sibling dinner. Maxie thinks her mother is back to be a grandmother to James. Anna Devane has not gotten a phone call. Sonny Corinthos has not gotten a phone call. Even Mac Scorpio, who would absolutely know what his sister-in-law’s “I am back for a visit” face looks like, has not raised an eyebrow.

Felicia Scorpio has been in Port Charles for one week and she has already planted a flag in three different storylines without making a sound. By the time anybody figures out what she is actually doing, Cesar Faison’s children will already be on her board, the WSB will already be working her angle, and the only people who saw it coming will have been the audience watching a forty-year-old shadow start moving through the daytime canvas one more time.

Felicia came home for the cleanup.
