Jaws on the Floor and Hands Clutching Pearls! General Hospital Moments That Shocked Us This Week
General Hospital served us a week of jaw dropping moments from Anna’s escape to Joss breaking a chair over her captor’s head!

GENERAL HOSPITAL PULLED OFF FIVE MOMENTS THAT TURNED PORT CHARLES UPSIDE DOWN
TL;DR: General Hospital came swinging this week with five moments that had us screaming at our screens and texting our group chats in full caps. Port Charles served chaos with a side of shock, and this is the kind of week that reminds you exactly why daytime is the best storytelling on television.
Anna Devane Hijacked a Car and Almost Made It to Switzerland! And We Did Not Get to See One Second of It
General Hospital gave us the news of the week through Kevin via Laura. Anna Devane, held captive in a French psychiatric facility, BROKE OUT. She hijacked a vehicle. She made it nearly to the Swiss border before the French authorities scooped her up. And we, the viewers at home, did not get to witness a single delicious second of it.
We will be devastated about this until the end of time. A car chase across the French countryside. Anna with her hair whipping in the wind, gripping the wheel like the boss she is. Instead we got a phone call. A PHONE CALL. General Hospital, we adore you, but we need this in flashback form immediately, with a budget and a wig.

Cullum Caught Danny and Charlotte at Wyndemere and Pulled a Gun on Them!
After Danny Morgan and Charlotte Cassadine snuck onto Spoon Island to dig up dirt on Jenz Sidwell, the kids overheard a conversation no teenager should ever overhear, including talk of murdering Danny himself. Then they walked smack into Ross Cullum on their way out. He drew his weapon and announced he was taking them into custody.
Our hearts STOPPED. Until Ava Jerome and Sidwell strolled in and saved the day with a cover story so smooth it could have been written by Sidney Sheldon. The stakes in this storyline are sky-high, and General Hospital has been masterful at putting these legacy kids in genuine peril.
Josslyn Broke a Chair Over Cassius’s Head and We Erupted in Cheers
You knew this moment was coming. After days of being held in the Wyndemere bunker, Josslyn Jacks finally snapped. Cassius walked in with breakfast, and Joss CLOBBERED him over the head with a wooden chair. SHATTERED IT. Then made a run for the door.
He caught her. Of course he caught her. He threw her back inside, panting that he thought they were past this. Joss, with icy contempt only Eden McCoy can deliver, fired back, “Past you gaslighting me like you did Anna?” This is General Hospital delivering on weeks of slow-burn tension, and the payoff was IMMACULATE.
Pascal Admitted Cullum Killed Marco and Then Blamed Lucas for It!
In one of the most viciously delicious scenes of the week, Lucas Jones and Pascal got into a screaming match at the hospital that turned into a full-blown confession. Pascal admitted he KNEW Cullum murdered Marco Hernandez, and then blamed LUCAS for it.
Pascal had told Cullum the meds were missing, assuming Lucas was the one who had stolen them. He had wanted CULLUM to handle Lucas! Lucas clutched his pearls so hard we are amazed they did not snap, then fired back that they BOTH played a role in Marco’s death. Van Hansis went TOE TO TOE in that scene and the result was the kind of operatic, morally bankrupt soap dialogue you cannot get anywhere else on television.
Ethan Held Phoebe in His Arms and Walked Out Without Saying a Word
Save your hearts. Ethan Lovett showed up at the Quartermaine mansion looking for Tracy Quartermaine, only to find Brook Lynn Quartermaine holding the baby nobody in this town knows is his. The baby Delilah Wilson died bringing into the world.
Brook Lynn asked if he wanted to hold her. He said yes. And what followed was one of the most quietly gutting sequences GH has aired all year. Ethan cradled Phoebe like she was made of spun glass, studying her face like a man trying to commit every eyelash to memory because he knows this is all he gets. Alexis Davis casually told him he was a natural. Ethan thanked them, handed Phoebe back, and walked out the door without saying ONE word about who that baby actually belongs to. Nathan Dean is doing some of the finest work of his career, and we will be clutching our pearls when this paternity bomb finally goes off.
Which moment do you think rocked Port Charles the hardest, Joss going chair-mode on Cassius or Ethan’s silent goodbye to his daughter? Sound off below because we have a feeling this comment section is about to be a lot!
WATCH THIS: Can he really let his daughter go?
@soapoperamag Ethan Held Phoebe Today and We Are Not Recovering! He showed up at the Quartermaines pretending he wanted Tracy. He wanted the baby. He held her like he was memorizing her face. And Alexis is two steps from cracking Delilah wide open. #GeneralHospital #GH #GHSpoilers ♬ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
