GENERAL HOSPITAL DELIVERED FIVE MOMENTS THAT REFUSED TO LET PORT CHARLES BREATHE

TL;DR: General Hospital kept its foot on the gas this week with five moments that had us gasping, screaming, and texting our group chats in full caps. From a photo that may detonate a secret paternity to a casually evil murder suggestion, the writers are absolutely cooking and we are obsessed.

Apollo Whipped Out a Photo of Ethan and Delilah and the Paternity Bomb Is Officially Armed

Save your hearts. Alexis Davis and Ava Jerome flew to Manhattan to question Apollo, the owner of the Hammet Gallery and Delilah Wilson’s former employer. Apollo, played by the divine Maxwell Caulfield, played dumb at first. Slipped into the back hallway to call Ethan Lovett and warn him. Then walked right back into the room, accepted Ava’s promise of a Quartermaine payday, and pulled out a summer photo of Delilah with Ethan’s arm draped around her shoulder like the world’s most beautifully timed betrayal.

We GASPED. The paternity bomb Ethan has been carrying since the moment he saw Brook Lynn Quartermainecradling Phoebe is officially in two of the sharpest minds in Port Charles. General Hospital has been laying this groundwork for weeks, and the detonation is coming.

Got a wild theory about who else is about to learn Ethan is Phoebe’s father? Send your hottest reactions to [email protected] and we might publish your take!

Jenz Sidwell Casually Told Willow to MURDER Drew and We Have Not Recovered

Willow Tait called Jenz Sidwell over to plead, again, for permission to stop drugging Drew Cain. She is breaking down. She is trapped. And Sidwell, with the bored impatience of a man waiting for his espresso, told her to enjoy the peace and quiet and think of Drew as a potted plant. When Willow pushed back and said she needed dirt to keep him quiet, Sidwell offered an even better solution: she could keep him quiet by KILLING him.

Reader. We were not okay. Carlo Rota is delivering a villain performance of restraint and menace General Hospital has not had in YEARS. He pointed out that Willow already shot Drew in the back twice and asked what was one more. The casual evil of it. The pivot from gallery patron to mob boss in a single breath. We are absolutely eating it up.

Brook Lynn Warned Willow Right to Her Face That She Would Destroy Her

After watching her husband Harrison Chase wrap his arms around his ex-fiancée through the front window, Brook Lynn pushed through the hurt and walked into Willow’s house with a gift. Smiled. Made small talk. Played the gracious wife. The second Chase walked out the door, Brook Lynn turned to Willow and told her in the calmest voice possible that if she tried ANYTHING with Chase, she would destroy her.

Amanda Setton CHEWED that scene. Pair this with the secret Brook Lynn is sitting on about Jordan’s car accident, the secret Ethan is sitting on about Phoebe, and the secret Willow is sitting on about Drew, and General Hospital has built a Tower of Babel out of lies. We are HERE for the collapse.

Tracy Quartermaine Accidentally Tipped Off Michael and Now He Has a Master Plan

Sometimes the soapiest moment of the week is a phone call to the BMW dealership. Tracy Quartermaine walked into the Quartermaine kitchen and laid into the dealership about Brook Lynn’s passenger door, which has been rattling for SIX WEEKS. Michael Corinthos, who had spent his morning listening to Curtis Ashford explain his Isaiah-as-the-other-driver theory, did the math in real time.

By Friday, Michael had recruited Jacinda Quayle into the most exquisite four-dimensional chess move of the year. Tell Chase that Brook Lynn was the other driver. Watch Chase implode and run back to Willow. Let the affair detonate Willow’s Congressional seat in scandal. Walk away holding all the power over the woman who took his children. This is the Michael Corinthos we have been waiting for.

Kristina Got Into UCLA Medical School and Nobody Saw It Coming

This one stopped us cold. Kristina Corinthos-Davis, patron saint of starting things and never finishing them, secretly applied to UCLA’s medical school and GOT IN. She told Molly Lansing-Davis at Bobbie’s, the customers applauded, and then Kristina immediately deflated and admitted she has no intention of going.

But then the truth came pouring out. After Kristina lost her baby, the doctors who cared for her were the only people who made her want to keep going. She wants to be that for someone else. She is afraid of starting something and failing at it. Kate Mansi played that confession with such quiet devastation that we were wrecked. General Hospital is giving Kristina the deepest character work she has had in years.

Honorable Mentions That Deserved Their Flowers Too

Willow Sobbed to Chase That She Does Not Want to Be Married to Drew Anymore

After Sidwell left Willow shattered, Chase showed up to return Amelia’s stuffed bunny and found his ex-fiancée a sobbing mess. She told him she did not love Drew, regretted marrying him, and was ashamed of how she had treated Chase during their engagement. The Chillow fandom is in shambles and we mean that as a compliment.

Portia Volunteered to Take the Stand AGAINST Curtis in Court

Portia Robinson and Curtis went head-to-head over Isaiah Gannon’s injuries, and Portia made it official. If she is called to the stand, she will tell the truth about what she witnessed. Pregnant Portia volunteering to testify against the father of her unborn child is a level of soap escalation we did not see coming, and Brook Kerr is BRINGING IT.

Which moment do you think rocked Port Charles the hardest, Apollo flipping on Ethan or Sidwell dangling murder like it was a parking ticket? Sound off below because we have a feeling this comment section is about to be a lot!

Usually never see situations with Portia’s view, but am glad she is standing by Isiah.
