Harrison Chase is not a bad man. That is what makes this storyline so genuinely agonizing to watch. He became a cop because he believed in protecting people who could not protect themselves. He testified on Willow Tait’s behalf at her murder trial when it cost him his badge. He manipulated evidence not for personal gain but because he was absolutely convinced that Michael Corinthos shot a congressman twice in the back and framed an innocent woman for it — and that a man with Michael’s power and money would never be held accountable any other way.

The road to disaster on General Hospital has always been paved with exactly that kind of conviction.

Chase sat across from Brook Lynn Quartermaine and promised her that becoming parents was their priority. He said nothing would stop them from adopting a child. Brook Lynn was relieved.
