HUDSON PARKER NOW HAS TWO BOSSES AND ONE PLAN

TL;DR: Sonny offered to pay Hudson Parker to keep Josslyn in line, Hudson sees it as a win for himself, and on General Hospital the guy with a bug in his briefcase now stands to collect from both sides.

Hudson Walked In With One Boss And Walked Out With Two

Hudson Parker went to the Port Charles Grill to hear what Sonny Corinthos wanted and left holding the best deal in town. Sonny told him that Jax will not be happy to come back from his extended vacation and find that Josslyn Jacksused JJE to chase a vendetta, and that this would be a direct problem for Hudson. The fix was to stay at the company and make sure she does not run it into the ground, and Sonny would pay him to do it.

Hudson did the math fast. Keeping Josslyn focused on her father’s goals undercuts her plans to take down Sonny and protects his own spot for when Jax returns, so it is a win for both men. He even expected an exorbitant consultant’s fee. Sonny told him he would take what was offered, and if he did not, he was a fool.

Josslyn Thinks She Has Her Guy

Hudson earned her trust the loud way. He made the winning bid on the piers Sonny wanted, stood beside her while Sonny bellowed that they had no idea what they were dealing with, and then toasted the win with champagne in his hotel room. As far as Josslyn knows, she is not sharing him. When Sonny’s message came in, she announced she would go in Hudson’s place, and Hudson insisted on going himself. She still counts him as her right hand. He told her she is none of the things her critics say, he admired her for running her own espionage, and he took notes while she picked Sonny’s next property to go after.

So what does Hudson Parker tell her about the Grill? He can pitch it as a spy mission, with Sonny’s offer as proof he is on her side. He can also keep quiet and let both bosses believe they are the one getting what they paid for. Neither version is an honest one, but both are very profitable.

Ric Already Has An Ear In The Briefcase

Ric Lansing spent a gym session hiding a bug in Hudson’s briefcase, and he heard Hudson and Chase talk about Sonny and Ric. He also has a private investigator digging into Hudson, because Sonny wanted an Achilles heel to squeeze. Sonny could have saved everybody the trouble and put Hudson on the payroll from the start, which is exactly what he did at the Grill.

Sonny told Ric he would not go after Josslyn directly and needed to find out who Hudson is. Now Sonny knows exactly who Hudson Parker is, which is a man with a price. The question is whether the bug keeps listening. If Ric hears Hudson spin the Grill meeting for Josslyn, Sonny learns exactly how loyal his new hire is. If Josslyn learns about the bug, she learns who has been spying on her friend. Friday’s spoilers have Jason Morgan grilling Josslyn, so somebody is going to start talking.
