CHICAGO OR BUST! GH’s Molly Lansing-Davis Has A Dream Job And A Reason To Stay
Molly Lansing-Davis got a dream job offer in Chicago, and Cody’s offer to move with her only convinced her to stay put in Port Charles.
MOLLY LANSING-DAVIS GOT HER DREAM JOB WITHOUT APPLYING
TL;DR: Molly Lansing-Davis got an unsolicited offer from a big Chicago firm, Cody said he would move with her, and on General Hospital his support only convinced her to stay.

The Best Job Offers Never Come With An Application
Molly Lansing-Davis did not apply for her dream job, which is the most flattering way to get one. A top Chicago firm called with a civil law position, an office, and a pay increase, and she told Alexis Davis first because her mother is the person she tells everything. Her list of worries was short and heartfelt: she does not want to leave her mother, Scout Cain, or Cody Bell.
Alexis did what Alexis does and gave the logical advice. Cody would go with her if he wanted to, the perks are great, and the hard part is that Molly has built a real life in Port Charles. Then she sent her daughter to have the conversation with Cody.

Cody Offered To Pack The Truck
Cody did not hesitate when Molly Lansing-Davis finally told him. He asked when she starts her dream job, and she reminded him her family is in Port Charles. He pointed out her mom would encourage her to go, and so would her dad. “What about you?” she asked. He told Molly he would move with her, no question, he has lived in plenty of places, and he can find another job. Her answer to all that support was a thank-you, and then she decided it only convinced her that staying is right. Most people hear “I’ll follow you anywhere” and call a moving company. Molly heard it and unpacked.
The calendar is already making the case for Port Charles. Cody had to ask Tracy Quartermaine for Thanksgiving off. She said no at first, because she needs him around for whatever disaster is bound to happen, which is the most honest job description in Port Charles. She only gave in when he explained he and Molly plan to spend the holiday with their families. Alexis is hosting dinner and has promised not to cook anything, which is one more tradition worth sticking around for.

Port Charles Keeps Handing Molly Reasons
The week ahead does not make leaving any easier. Sonny Corinthos confronts Alexis on Tuesday, and on Thursday Ric Lansing makes a request of her, which means Molly’s parents are about to be in each other’s business again. Monday also puts Scout’s secret with Rocco Falconeri at risk, Tuesday has Scout opening up to Drew Cain, and Wednesday has Tracy dropping a bombshell. That is the kind of week where you want your family close. Her father is also headed back to court with a client, so a courtroom drama is coming whether Molly is there or not.
A firm that wooed her without a single resume is not going to forget her. The offer might be gone, or it might wait politely for a better moment, and Molly Lansing-Davis may find out she does not get to decide when the next one arrives.

Chicago Will Call Back
Molly Lansing-Davis is leaning toward no on the city, but she has not said no to the dream. Alexis told her it is a hard decision because of the life and career she has built in Port Charles, and Alexis is right. Her family needs her, Cody is willing to follow her anywhere, and the offer is still out there. Is she staying for Cody, for her family, or for something she has not said out loud, and what happens if Chicago asks again?
