Mama’s Home!! Liesl Obrecht’s Homecoming Cracked Open a Door General Hospital Fans Thought Was Locked for Good
Liesl Obrecht sat down with Felicia Scorpio about Anna Devane and admitted she is quietly terrified that Cesar Faison might actually be alive.

LIESL OBRECHT IS AFRAID CESAR FAISON MIGHT ACTUALLY BE ALIVE
TL;DR: Liesl Obrecht is back on General Hospital and sat down with Felicia Scorpio for what was supposed to be a conversation about Anna Devane. It turned into Obrecht admitting she is afraid that if anyone could return from the dead, it would be Cesar Faison.
The Meeting That Was Not Supposed to Go There
Felicia Scorpio requested the meeting with one goal. Get Liesl Obrecht on a plane to France, get her into the room with Anna Devane, and get Anna to believe that the woman standing in front of her is not part of a Cesar Faison-shaped conspiracy. Felicia, bless her, came to that Metro Court garden ready to plead her case on behalf of her best friend.
Obrecht shut it down fast. Not because she does not care. Because she understood something Felicia did not. If Anna is already convinced Liesl Obrecht is part of the scheme, then Liesl walking into her hospital room is not a rescue mission. It is confirmation. The very sight of the doctor she has spent decades tangling with could push Anna deeper into the exact delusion Felicia is trying to pull her out of. Liesl Obrecht knew the math on that situation before Felicia finished asking.
And then Liesl Obrecht said the thing that has been sitting in the back of every longtime GH fan’s brain for months.

If Anyone Could Come Back From the Dead, It Would Be Him
Felicia asked the question nobody has had the nerve to ask out loud. Was there any chance Anna was not hallucinating? Any chance Cesar Faison was actually alive?
Obrecht did not laugh it off. She did not scoff. She did not roll her eyes and call her friend hysterical. Instead she admitted that the thought of Anna claiming to have seen him has been quietly disturbing her. And then she delivered the line that should have every viewer in Port Charles sitting up straighter. If anyone could come back from the dead, it would be Faison. She said she prays, for the sake of her children, that Anna is wrong.
Her children. Plural. Because Liesl Obrecht is also the mother of a son she believes is alive, living in Port Charles, romancing Lulu Spencer, and coming home every night to pretend nothing has changed. What Liesl does not know, but what every other viewer already does, is that her son is not her son at all. He is Cassius Faison, the twin brother everyone assumed was gone forever, who has been impersonating the real Nathan for months.
What This Admission Actually Means
Obrecht just connected two threads that should be TERRIFYING for everyone. One, she is publicly entertaining the possibility that the man who once kidnapped Anna, brainwashed half of Port Charles, and spent decades tormenting women is back from the grave. Two, she is a woman whose maternal radar is about to be activated on behalf of children she thinks are safe.
Liesl Obrecht does not spook easily. She has buried people. She has held her ground against crime bosses. She has been institutionalized and negotiated her way out. For her to publicly admit that Anna’s claim shakes her tells us the writers are laying groundwork for something massive. Either Cesar Faison is going to walk back onto that canvas in a way nobody can explain, or Liesl is about to discover that the Faison standing closest to her is not the one she thought.
Either way, the doctor who just came home from New Zealand is about to have the worst homecoming of her life.
Do you think Cesar Faison is actually alive and crawling back toward Port Charles, or is Liesl Obrecht about to uncover something even worse than a dead man walking? Sound off in the comments because this conversation deserves a real fight!
