CASSIUS FAISON IS POINTING FINGERS AT JASON AND BRITT, BUT LULU SPENCER ISN’T BUYING A WORD OF IT

TL;DR: On General Hospital, the man posing as Nathan West is throwing Jason Morgan and Britt Westbourne under the bus to protect his stolen identity — but Lulu Spencer isn’t buying it, and her crumbling trust could finally blow the biggest con in Port Charles history wide open.

The Blame Game Nobody Is Buying

There is a reason Jenz Sidwell needed someone wearing a hero’s face inside the Port Charles Police Department. A stranger with no history and no legacy never could have pulled off this level of infiltration. But Cassius Faison, operating under the stolen identity of the late, beloved Detective Nathan West, had years of built-up love and grief to weaponize. And he has been burning through every single ounce of it at a catastrophic rate.

The impersonation held because Port Charles wanted to believe. They wanted their hero back. They wanted the man who died on those docks to have somehow found his way home. Cassius exploited every ounce of that grief with cold, surgical precision — right up until the moment he made his worst mistake yet.

Lulu Spencer went to “Nathan” with something simple. She had already activated Mayor Laura Collins and Robert Scorpio to locate Jason Morgan — a man sitting in federal WSB custody for a crime he did not commit. She was not asking permission. She was telling him what she had done. His response was an aggressive, paranoid demand that she drop the entire investigation immediately.

That is not Nathan West. And she knows it.

A Legacy He Cannot Replicate

The genuine Nathan — the man who gave his life protecting Maxie Jones and their unborn son from the exact evil Cassius now embodies — would have been on the phone with Robert before Lulu finished her sentence. He would have moved mountains to free an innocent man from WSB custody. He would not have coldly ordered the woman he claims to love to walk away and leave Jason to rot in a federal holding cell. Every word out of Cassius’s mouth on that pier was the photographic negative of who Nathan was, and she felt every bit of it.

For months, Cassius has been running a sustained, calculated blame campaign. He pointed the finger at Jason for the Pier 55 cover-up. He told Lulu that Britt Westbourne was lying to protect Rocco Falconeri, framing Jason’s act of sacrifice — his decision to absorb the legal fallout to shield a traumatized teenager — as a convenient story to exploit rather than an act of heroism to correct. Every single word was designed to keep her distracted and Sidwell’s operation running clean.

Cassius fundamentally miscalculated his audience.

The rot behind closed doors at Wyndemere makes the full picture even more damning. When Sidwell declared that Britt needed to be “dealt with,” Cassius agreed without a single moment of hesitation. His own biological sister — terminally ill, battling Stage 3 Huntington’s Disease, already being extorted to her absolute breaking point — signed off on like a loose end to be cleared from a list. The real Nathan would have burned that estate to the ground first. Cassius didn’t even flinch.

The Clock Is Ticking on Cassius Faison

Spoilers confirm Lulu Spencer hits a discouraging roadblock this week in the wake of Cassius shutting her down — but discouraged in soap opera language is never defeated. It is a detour. Luke and Laura’s daughter does not fold when powerful men tell her to back off. She already has Laura and Robert in motion. She has a journalist’s relentless instinct for finding exactly what dangerous people are desperate to bury. For everything unfolding in Port Charles, check out the official General Hospital page at ABC.

Cassius cannot suppress a WSB investigation from inside the precinct indefinitely without someone noticing the pattern. He cannot keep blaming Jason and Britt without those two eventually dismantling every lie he has told. And he absolutely cannot keep running this blame game against a woman whose entire life has been built around tearing exactly this kind of deception apart from the inside out.

Port Charles does not yet know what is standing in their police department. But Lulu Spencer is getting closer by the day. And when she finally connects the last dot, nothing — not the syndicate, not Sidwell, not a stolen face — is going to be left standing.

Don’t be surprised if Cassius Faison’s most catastrophic mistake turns out to be the moment he looked the wrong woman dead in the eyes and told her to let it go.

Do you think Lulu figures it out alone — or does Dante end up blowing the whole thing open? Drop your take in the comments and let’s get into it!
