What If Nathan West Is Alive and Pretending to Be Cassius Faison Pretending to Be Himself and Sidwell Has No Idea He Recruited the Real Thing?!
What if Nathan West is alive on GH and pretending to be Cassius Faison pretending to be himself to take down Sidwell from the inside?

WHAT IF NATHAN WEST IS RUNNING THE LONGEST CON IN PORT CHARLES HISTORY
TL;DR: Sidwell thinks he has Cassius Faison inside the PCPD on General Hospital. What if he has the real Nathan West pretending to be Cassius pretending to be Nathan? What if Nathan discovered his twin existed, took the identity, sold himself to Sidwell as a Faison, and has been running a deep cover operation from inside the man’s own organization this entire time? He protected Rocco. He protected Britt. He was too “rusty” for baseball. And every single thing he has done makes perfect sense if this man was never a Faison at all.
The Baseball Tell That Started It All
Nathan West sat at Bobbie’s with James and Felicia Scorpio and James asked his dad to coach baseball. Nathan chuckled and said he was too rusty. He suggested they go to the batting cages instead.
Nathan West is not rusty at baseball. The real Nathan West would never turn down coaching his son’s team. Fans clocked it immediately. Something was off. A man who loves his kid, who has been athletic his entire life, who would jump at the chance to spend time with James, suddenly cannot play baseball?
Unless he was selling it. Unless Nathan West, the real Nathan West, deliberately fumbled the one thing that would have been too natural, too easy, too perfectly Nathan for a man who is supposed to be someone else wearing Nathan’s face. If you are pretending to be your own twin brother pretending to be you, you cannot be too good at being yourself. You have to leave cracks. You have to let people see the seams. You have to say you are rusty at the thing you love because a Faison impersonating a cop would not know how to coach little league.
The baseball was the tell. And it was intentional.

What If Nathan Found Cassius First?
Here is where this theory gets so unhinged we need everyone to sit down.
What if Nathan West discovered he had a twin brother named Cassius Faison? What if he tracked Cassius down before Jenz Sidwell could put his plan in motion? What if Nathan realized that Sidwell was building an operation to infiltrate Port Charles and decided the best way to stop it was to become the weapon Sidwell thought he was building?
What if Nathan West approached Sidwell AS Cassius Faison? What if he sold himself as a Faison willing to betray his family, wear his dead brother’s face, and embed himself inside the PCPD? What if Sidwell, a man who prides himself on knowing everything, recruited the actual Nathan West and has been feeding intelligence to a cop this entire time without knowing it?
Sidwell thinks he poisoned Maxie Jones and installed a Faison in Port Charles. What if Nathan poisoned the operation from the inside before it ever started?
Everything He Did Was Nathan
Go back through every single move this man has made and look at it through this lens.
He showed up at Pier 55 the night Rocco Falconeri shot Ross Cullum. He took control. He told Jason Morgan to wipe the gun. He got Rocco out of there. That is not a Faison managing a crime scene. That is a cop protecting a kid because that is what Nathan West does.
He questioned Britt Westbourne at the hospital by the book. He swore Lulu Spencer to secrecy. He told her not to let Jason’s sacrifice be in vain. That is not a Faison burying information. That is Nathan West protecting his sister and the woman he is falling for.
He found Lulu on Pier 55 retracing Rocco’s steps and told her to let it go. That is not a handler managing a security breach. That is a father figure protecting a teenager and the woman he loves from a truth that would destroy them both.
He sat with Felicia at breakfast and accepted her blessing to pursue a relationship with Lulu. James said he wants to be a hero like his father. If this man is the real Nathan West, then James is not idolizing a fraud. James is idolizing his actual father, who is doing the most heroic thing imaginable: pretending to be a villain to take down the man threatening everyone he loves.
The Britt Test
Sidwell told “Cassius” to deal with Britt if she compromised the operation. He agreed. Reluctantly.
What if that reluctance was not a Faison showing a crack of humanity? What if that was Nathan West hearing an order to hurt his sister and knowing he has to say yes to keep his cover intact? What if Nathan is playing along to Sidwell’s face while working behind the scenes to make sure Britt is never actually touched?
A Faison who reluctantly agrees to betray family is interesting. Nathan West pretending to be a Faison who reluctantly agrees to betray family while secretly planning to protect her is the most Nathan West thing imaginable.
Who Else Knows?
If Nathan West is running a deep cover operation disguised as his own twin brother, someone authorized it. This is too big, too dangerous, and too perfectly executed for one man operating alone.
Does Robert Scorpio know? Laura asked him for help finding Jason through WSB contacts. What if Robert already knows where Nathan is because Robert helped put him there? What if the WSB sanctioned this operation and Robert Scorpio has been watching from a distance while Nathan dismantles Sidwell’s empire from the inside?
Does Maxie know? Sidwell claims he poisoned her. What if Maxie’s coma was staged? What if she and Nathan planned the whole thing so that by the time she “woke up,” the cover story was airtight? Maxie accepted Nathan immediately. No questions. No doubts. What if that was not a woman too relieved to see her husband to notice the differences? What if that was a woman who knew exactly who she was looking at because she helped build the operation?
What if the most dangerous man in Port Charles is not a Faison at all? What if he is the one person Sidwell should have been afraid of from the beginning: a good cop with a badge, a family to protect, and the patience to play a very, very long game?
Nathan West said he was too rusty for baseball. He was not rusty. He was selling the cover. And Sidwell bought every pitch.
Do you think Nathan West is alive and running the con of the century? And who else knows? Sound off below because this theory is the most unhinged, most soapy, most delicious thing we have speculated all year and we are LIVING for it!
WATCH THIS: Were you shocked? We weren’t.
@soapoperamag WE WERE RIGHT! We Nathan girlies knew that wasn't OUR man! We knew from the second he came back. We knew when he kissed Lulu. We knew when he let Maxie go. We KNEW! And, we were right. Cassius Faison?! An evil twin?! Yikes! #GH #GeneralHospital ♬ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine

One of the spoiler sites mentioned if Cassius was not truly Nathan how it would affect James. I made a comment the only way James could come out of this story line without mental harm was for Cassius to be Nathan which is being expressed in the above spoiler. Don’t know how this story line will end as there have been so many twists and turns that needed not be added but whatever is revealed in the end, I just don’t care to see James hurt in anyway as he is a child who doesn’t deserve to be aligned with this type story line. Bad enough the teens are becoming more involved in story lines, but the way they have been included is still nothing for teens to have to deal with as they are a little more than children too. Don’t care for the treatment of children/teens on GH.
