Maxie Jones Is Finally Awake
Felicia Scorpio has made that trip to Boston every single week on General Hospital. She has brought Georgie and James to sit with their mother. She has talked to Maxie, held her hand, and prayed for a miracle. Today she finally got one.
The kids were bickering about whether to stop at the bookstore or the ice rink on the way to the airport when Maxie Jones appeared at the door of her hospital room and told James he would not be skating without a helmet. Just like that. As if she had not been lying unconscious for months. As if the world had not kept spinning without her.
James told his mother he loved her the best. That is why he turned down a classmate who asked him to be her Valentine — his heart belonged to his mom. Georgie threw herself on top of Maxie and begged her to wake up. Felicia broke down in tears telling her daughter how much she was loved.
And then Maxie answered all of their prayers. She is awake. She is coming home.

Maxie Jones Does Not Know Nathan West Is Alive
Here is what Maxie is about to walk into. The husband she buried — the love of her life, the father of her child, the man she has mourned for years — is alive. Nathan West is back from the dead and living in Port Charles and Maxie has absolutely no idea.
She went into that coma believing Nathan was gone forever. She is going to wake up and discover that while she was lying in a hospital bed in Boston, her supposedly dead husband was walking around Port Charles reconnecting with his son James and trying to figure out his place in a world that moved on without him.
That alone would be enough to send anyone spiraling. But it gets worse.
Nathan West Has Been Getting Close To Lulu Spencer
While Maxie was unconscious, Nathan and Lulu Spencer have been spending time together. A lot of time. They bonded over the complicated mess of their lives — Nathan trying to reconnect with a son who barely knows him, Lulu navigating her own situation with Dante. They talked. They leaned on each other. They caught feelings.
On the same day Maxie woke up from her coma, Nathan and Lulu confessed that they wanted to be together. Nathan went to Nina for advice. Lulu talked to Laura. And despite knowing how complicated and messy and potentially devastating this could be, they agreed to start dating.
The timing is brutal. Maxie opened her eyes on the exact same day her husband officially moved on with her best friend.
Maxie Jones Is Walking Into A Nightmare
Think about what Maxie is about to experience. She is going to come home expecting to grieve and heal and rebuild her life as a widow. Instead she is going to discover that her husband is alive — and he is with Lulu.
This is the man Maxie has cried over for years. This is the man whose death shattered her. This is the man she never got to say goodbye to properly because Peter August ripped him away from her. And now she has to process the fact that he came back from the dead and did not wait for her. He moved on. With her best friend.
